Window Card Using a Laminator featuring Simon Says Stamp

Happy Monday friends! Hope you are safe and had a good weekend. Today I am bringing you this card featuring a faux shaker. I saw this technique used by Jennifer McGuire and I decided to try it. I made it simpler by using pattern paper and some stamped snowflakes.

I started by cutting a piece of Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue 100lb Card Stock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″, to create a card base. I cut out a strip from the front of the card base, measuring 1-1/4” in height and then two strips of the stories from the Carta Bella Santa’s Workshop 6 x 6 Designer Papers (discontinued), each measuring 1-1/2 x 5-1/2”.

I took some sequins and added them inside a laminating pouch and ran that through a lamination machine. I trimmed it down to approximately 3 x 5-1/2” and adhered it between the card base pieces and the pattern pieces using 1/4” double sided tape.

I stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp CHRISTMAS CHEER Stamps onto a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink. Then cut it down to 3/8 x 2-3/4” and adhered it to the card. I also stamped some snowflakes with Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink, fussycut them out and adhered them to the card.

On the inside of the card, I adhered two strips of another pattern paper from the Carta Bella Santa’s Workshop 6 x 6 Designer Papers (discontinued), each measuring 1-1/2 x 5-1/2”, to the back of the front panel. Then I stamped another greeting from the Simon Says Stamp CHRISTMAS CHEER Stamps with Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink.

Using Stickers to Create a Slimline Christmas Card

Stickers are a great way to create quick cards and who doesn’t like quick cards for the holidays, right?!? I had some leftover stickers from the Carta Bella Paper – Santa’s Workshop Collection, Christmas, 12 x 12 Cardstock Stickers featured in the Says Stamp December 2018 Card Kit, Holiday Cheer (sold out) so I decided to use them on a slimline card. The larger sticker like the Santa and reindeer one are great fro slimline cards!

I started by cutting a piece of Says Stamp Green Leaf Card Stock 100# 8.5 x 11″ to 7 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 3-1/2″ to create a slimline card base and a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 3-1/4 x 8-1/4” for the top panel. I also cut another piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 1-1/2 x 8-1/2” and used the Lawn Fawn Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders Die Cuts to diecut a snowy hillside.

I used Versamark Ink to stamp the snowflake pattern from the Simon Says Stamp CHRISTMAS CHEER Stampset all over the background and heat embossed it with WOW OPAQUE BRIGHT WHITE Super Fine Embossing Powder. I used Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Oxide Ink to ink blend the background and adhered it to the card base. I adhered the snowy hillside to the card as well, leaving the top edge without glue. I adhered the Christmas tree from Carta Bella Paper – Santa’s Workshop Collection, Christmas, 12 x 12 Cardstock Stickers behind the hillside and the Santa on his sleigh on top of the hillside.

I stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Clear CHRISTMAS CHEER Stampset onto a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Stampin’ Up! Real Red Ink, cut it to 1-3/16 x 2-1/8 and adhered it to the card. I finished it off by adding Tonic White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops.

On the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the Simon Says Clear CHRISTMAS CHEER Stampset with Stampin’ Up! Real Red Ink and added a reindeer from the Carta Bella Paper – Santa’s Workshop Collection, Christmas, 12 x 12 Cardstock Stickers.

Slider Slimline Card featuring Simon Says Clear Stamps ‘Gnome for the Holidays’

Happy Wednesday friends! I thought I would revisit an old Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. The ‘Gnome for the Holidays’ Card Kit was released in December 2019 and features the cute 6 x 8″ Gnome for the Holidays stampset. I thought it might be fun to make a slimline slider card with the little gnomes. It was fairly easy to make and can be even more simplified by skipping th eheat embossing and doing simple coloring on the images.

I started by cutting a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 7 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 3-1/3″ for the card base and diecut another piec with the smallest of two stitched rectangels from the Lawn Fawn Large Slimline With Sliders Die Cuts. I used Versamark Ink to stamp the snowflake from the Gnome for the Holidays stampset and heat embossed it with WOW OPAQUE BRIGHT WHITE Super Fine Embossing Powder. I used Tim Holtz SPECKLED EGG Distress Ink and Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Oxide Ink to ink blend the background.

I set that aside and stamped the gift stack and two of the gnomes from the Gnome for the Holidays stampset onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used a mask (stamp onto a post it note) to mask out the top bow while stamping the gifts.

I colored the image with COPIC markers. I used YG05 + G07 (body), R20 (cheeks), R14 + R27 (gloves and socks), C3 + C5 (shoes) and C1 (arms) for the tree gnome; R14 + R27 (body), YG05 + G07 (hat), C1 + 0 (beard), R00 + R01 (face), R81+ R27 (socks), R81+ R85 (hat dots and sleeves), and C1 + C3 (gloves) for the second gnome; and R14, R27, R81, R85, YG05, G07, C1, C3, and C5 for the gifts.

I fussycut the images out and decided where they would go on my card. Then diecut the slider with the Lawn Fawn Large Slimline With Sliders Die Cuts. I added Foam Tape and a penny for the slider element and adhered it to the card base.

I used Versamark Ink to stamp the sentiment from the Gnome for the Holidays stampset and heat embossed it with WOW OPAQUE BRIGHT WHITE Super Fine Embossing Powder onto a piece of Simon Says Stamp Card Stock 100lb Schoolhouse Red. And then diecut it out with the smallest rectangle from the Lawn Fawn Large Slimline With Sliders Die Cuts. I added a strip of Simon Says Stamp White Glitter Cardstock, measuring 3/8 x 2-1/2″ to the back of that piece and adhered it to the card panel.

On the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the Gnome for the Holidays stampset with Simon Says Stamp SCHOOLHOUSE RED Ink and added the tree gnome I colored earlier. And that completes this card.

Halloween House Cards featuring Honey Bee Stamps Haunted House Add-on Dies

I’m back with another adorable card featuring the House Builder Card Base Dies from Honey Bee Stamps!!! This time I created Halloween houses which was so much fun! I love Halloween (always been my favorite holiday since I was a kid) so I have to make as many cards as possible! And yes I DO send out Halloween cards to family and friends, whether they have kids or not. Adults are entitled to some Halloween magic too, am I right?!? But this year especially I am making a point of sending out as many holiday cards as possible.

For the first card, I started by diecutting the house card base 2x from the House Builder Card Dies, chimney (from Honey Cuts Gingerbread House Add-on), and one gable from Stampin’ Up! Elegant Eggplant 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock (retired), the roof and stairs from Simon Says Stamp Card Stock 100# Green Apple, and the gable roof from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Card with the House Builder Card Base Dies and Honey Cuts Haunted House Add-on.

I adhered the two houses with the pre-scored strip that comes in the House Builder Card Base Dies to create the card base. Be sure to use double-sided tape or something very strong so they don’t come apart. I adhered the roof and diecut out the windows from the front piece then added Tim Holtz Ranger Black Soot Distress Ink to everything. I also added Tim Holtz Ranger Peeled Paint Distress Ink. In fact everything except the ghosts and pumpkins had Tim Holtz Ranger Black Soot Distress Ink added to them to age them.

I used Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Card for the door and the bats, Simon Says Stamp Slate 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the door gable, and fence, Simon Says Stamp Fog 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the door handle, grave stones and webs (from Papertrey Ink – Tiny Town: Spookville Die), Neenah Classic Crest, 80lb Solar White for the ghosts, Stampin’ Up! Soft Suede 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the wood and tree, and Stampin Up! Pumpkin Pie 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock for the pumpkins. I backed all the windows with Simon Says Stamp Slate 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock. TIP: To hide the cardstock pieces behind the windows, I diecut another house from Stampin’ Up! Elegant Eggplant 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock (retired) and adhered it to back of the card front. I added some shimmer to the bats and the ghosts with a Spectrum Noir CLEAR OVERLAY Sparkle Pens.

On the inside of the card, I diecut another house from Neenah Classic Crest, 80lb Solar White, trimmed it down and adhered it to the card base. Then stamped the sentiment from the Queen and Company Halloween Hoopla stampset with Simon Says Stamp GREEN APPLE Ink. I added a web, diecut from Simon Says Stamp Slate 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and a pumpkin.

For the second card, I started by diecutting the house card base 2x, chimney (from Honey Cuts Gingerbread House Add-on), and one gable from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Card, the roof, window shutters and stairs from Stampin’ Up! Elegant Eggplant 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock (retired) and the gable roof from Simon Says Stamp Card Stock 100# Green Apple with the House Builder Card Base Dies and Honey Cuts Haunted House Add-on.

Pumpkin Pie 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock for the pumpkins. I backed all the windows with Simon Says Stamp Fog 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and the pumpkins with Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Card. I added some shimmer to the bats and the ghosts with a Spectrum Noir CLEAR OVERLAY Sparkle Pens and some Wiggly Eyes inside the windows.

I diecut another house from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Card and adhered it to back of the card front.

On the inside of the card, I diecut another house from Neenah Classic Crest, 80lb Solar White, trimmed it down and adhered it to the card base. Then stamped the sentiment from the Queen and Company Halloween Hoopla stampset with Memento Black Ink. I added a web, diecut from Neenah Classic Crest, 80lb Solar White,and three grave stones die cut from Simon Says Stamp Slate 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

Queen and Company’s North Pole Kit

I love most of their shaker kits, but this one by far, the North Pole Kit, is my favorite Queen and Company Card Kit. It pairs great with their Glitter Foam (I used some for the hat card). The kit Includes: 25 steel dies, 6×6 paper pad, 4×6 stamp set, 11 custom toppings and 21 foam and acetate shakers. Tons of goodies to make tons of cards and they sell refills for the paper pad, shaker foam, acetate and toppings!

I started these cards by cutting some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″. I cut three of those to create my card bases. For this first card, I diecut another piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with the Catherine Pooler Designs Holly and Berries Coverplate and adhered it to the card. (Tip: Save the outer border that is cut with this die to use later under the pattern paper. It will even out the papers so there’s no drooping.) I cut a piece of pattern paper from the North Pole Paper Pad (included in the kit) to 2-3/16 x 4-1/4″ and a red strip from the North Pole Solids Paper Pad to 2/16 x 4-1/4″ and adhered them to the card.

I assembled the tree shaker and added the toppings inside. I used the paper from the North Pole Solids Paper Pad for the tree and the trunk (saved the inside (solid) piece of the tree frame). I added some left over foam from the shakers to the tree trunk. I save all the extra foam from the shakers because they can be used on other cards.

I used the Queen and Company Sentiment Stacker Dies #1 and the North Pole Solids Paper Pad to diecut “Merry & Bright” and some Vellum for the shadow, adhered them together and to the card. I added the tree and trunk to the card and finished it off by adding some Nuvo – Crystal Drops in Autumn Red to the tree.

On the inside of the card, I added a red piece of North Pole Solids Paper Pad, measuring 1-1/8 x 4-1/4″and a piece of North Pole Paper Pad, measuring 1″x 4-1/4″ and stamped a sentiment from the stampset included in the kit and Catherine Pooler Daydream Ink. I added the solid inside piece of the tree frame to the bottom of the card.

Dimensions

For the second card, I cut a piece of pattern paper from the North Pole Paper Pad (included in the kit) to 2-7/8 x 4-1/4″ and a red strip from the North Pole Solids Paper Pad to 2/16 x 4-1/4″ and adhered them to the card base. I also used the die for the santa hat’s pom pom and diecut 7 from some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to create a cute border. I thought they looked like puffy clouds and just adds some more whimsy to the card.

I assembled the hat shaker and added the toppings inside. I used red and green glitter foam from Queen and Company’s Glitter Fun Foam – Rainbow Pack to turn this santa hat into an elf hat. I saw Kristie Marcotte do this last year and thought it was adorable so I created my own. I added some left over foam from the shakers to the pom pom and edges of the hat trim once I adhered them together. this ensures that all of the hat is the same height.

I used the Catherine Pooler Happy Holidays Die and the North Pole Solids Paper Pad to diecut a sentiment and adhered to the card. I added the cute hat to the card, and finished it by adding some shimmer to the sentiment with Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pens. Look how sparkly that hat is!

On the inside of the card, I added a piece of North Pole Paper Pad, measuring 9/16″ x 4-1/4″ and stamped a sentiment from the stampset included in the kit and Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey Ink.

Dimensions

For the third card, I cut a piece of pattern paper from the North Pole Paper Pad (included in the kit) to 2-11/16 x 4-1/4″ and a red strip from the North Pole Solids Paper Pad using the scallop border die from the Honeybee Stamps Gingerbread House Add-on and adhered them to the card. This die is meant for the roof of the house but I though it made a great border!

I assembled the wreath shaker and added the toppings inside (saved the inside (solid) piece of the tree frame). I used green and red pattern paper from the North Pole Paper Pad for the wreath and bow.

I used the Queen and Company Sentiment Stacker Dies #1 and red glitter paper from Simon Says Stamp Cardstock Assortment Glitter 6×6 Pack to diecut a sentiment and Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ for the shadow, adhered them together and to the card. I added the wreath to the card, and finished it off by adding Christmas Red Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue for berries. I find this also balances the glitter in the sentiment.

On the inside of the card, I added a green piece of North Pole Solids Paper Pad, measuring 1 x 4-1/4″and a piece of North Pole Paper Pad, measuring 7/8″x 4-1/4″ and stamped a sentiment from the stampset included in the kit and Catherine Pooler Rockin Red Ink. I added the solid inside piece of the wreath frame to the top of the card.

Quick Christmas Cards featuring Word Wishes Dies by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

One tiny stamp, pattern paper and a sentiment die is all it takes to make these cards. Can’t get any easier, right?!?. They are found in the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. This set of cards is good for last minute Christmas cards.

Both cards were created the same way, but just by changing the paper and ink colors you can achieve different looks. I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (Melon Mambo for the first and Crumb Cake for the second) to 2-1/4 x 4-1/4”. I then cut a strip of plain card stock, measuring 1/8 x 4-1/4” ( I used Basic Gray for the first card and Melon Mambo for the second card).

Before adhering the papers to the card base, I used my Stamparatus to stamp a border using the trio ornament stamp from the Tree Angle Stampset. I used Basic Gray Ink for the first card and Melon Mambo Ink for the second.

I adhered the papers to the card and then die cut a sentiment with the Word Wishes Dies from Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and Melon Mambo Cardstock. I diecut three of each and stacked them and adhered them to the card. This gave a nice dimensional look. I finished it off by adding some sparkle with a Wink if Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.

On the inside of the card, I added a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 1/2 x 4-1/4″ and stamped a sentiment and the ornaments from the Tree Angle Stampset (I used Melon Mambo Ink and Basic Gray Ink on the first card and Crumb Cake Ink and Melon Mambo Ink on the second one).

Easy Christmas Card with Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

Here is a quick card that can be easily mass produced for the holidays! I used the Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up which can be found on page 22 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. This stampset coordinates with the Stitched Triangles Dies (pg 179 of the Annual Catalog).

I started this card by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″, which I adhered directly to the card base and a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-3/8 x 4-5/8″.

I stamped the tree and star topper from the Tree Angle Stampset onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Granny Apple Green and Basic Gray and fussycut it out.

I figured out where my tree was going to sit and stamped a sentiment below that from the Tree Angle Stampset with Basic Gray. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to teh back of the tree and added it to the white card panel. I added some Silver Twine from my stash and adhered the panel to the card.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 3/4 x 4-1/4″.

Quick Christmas Cards and Tags Using Wonder of the Season Paper by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

As someone who loves to use old book pages in my junk journals, when I saw Wonder of the Season 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper in the new Stampin’ Up! Aug-Dec Mini Catalog, I knew I had to have it! It’s has pages with Christmas stories, recipes and holiday news stories, and there are pages with red foil on one side and black and white print on the other side and also gold foil pages. It can be found on page 31 of the catalog and is part of the Wonder of the Season Suite. I was able to make 2 cards and tags in a short amount of time.

I started the first card by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Wonder of the Season 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper to 5 x 5-1/2″, ripped approximately 3/8″ from the top and bottom of it and adhered it on a diagonal to the card base, trimming off any excess. I cut a piece of 8-1/2″ x 11″ Vellum to 5 x 4-3/4 and ripped the top and bottom again so it is shorter than the pattern piece.

I fussycut the ornaments found on one of the red foil pages of the Wonder of the Season 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and diecut “Merry Christmas” from Red Foil Sheets with the Word Wishes Dies. I adhered the sentiment and the ornaments to the vellum piece and adhered the vellum to the card, only adding glue behind the diecut and image and trimming off any excess from the sides. I finished it off by adding Pearls (discontinued). I colored some of them with Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends.

I left the inside of the card blank and just stamped a sentiment from the Tree Angle stampset with Real Red Stampin’ Ink.

I also made a cute tag to match this card. I cut a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 2 x 3-5/8″ then using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch to make it into a pretty tag. Then cut a piece of Wonder of the Season 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper to 2-1/2 x 2-3/4″and a piece of 8-1/2″ x 11″ Vellum to 2-1/2 x 2-3/4 and ripped the top and bottom of both pieces and adhered the pattern piece on a diagonal to the card base, trimming off any excess. I added a piece of Red Foil Sheets, measuring 3/16 x 2-1/16″.

I fussycut a tree found on one of the red foil pages of the Wonder of the Season 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the vellum piece and adhered the vellum to the tag, only adding glue behind the image and trimming off any excess from the sides. I finished it off by adding Pearls (discontinued) and stamping “TO” and “FROM” from the Make A Difference Stampset with Memento Black Ink. I added a piece of red and white twine as well.

Since I loved this paper so much I had to make more cards. I made one with the gold foil paper too.

I started the second card by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Wonder of the Season 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper to 5 x 5-1/2″, ripped approximately 3/8″ from the top and bottom of it and adhered it on a diagonal to the card base, trimming off any excess. I cut a piece of 8-1/2″ x 11″ Vellum to 5 x 4-3/4 and ripped the top and bottom again so it is shorter than the pattern piece.

I fussycut the ornaments found on one of the red foil pages of the Wonder of the Season 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and diecut “Merry Christmas” from Gold Foil Sheets with the Word Wishes Dies. I adhered the sentiment and the ornaments to the vellum piece and adhered the vellum to the card, only adding glue behind the diecut and image and trimming off any excess from. the sides. I finished it off by adding dots with a Tsukineko Versamark Versamarker and added Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed.

I left the inside of the card blank and just stamped a sentiment from the Tree Angle stampset with Versamark Ink and added Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed.

I also made a cute tag to for this card. I did the same exact thing except I used I added a piece of Gold Foil Sheets to the bottom, measuring 3/16 x 2-1/16″. I also I fussycut a gold tree and again made dots used the Tsukineko Versamark Versamarker and added Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed and stamped “TO” and “FROM” from the Make A Difference Stampset with Memento Black Ink. I added a piece of Gold Metallic Trim as well.

Life Is Beautiful by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

The Life Is Beautiful stampset by Stampin’ Up! at first glance looks like a very simple stampset but once you stamp the images you will notice the details in the images which give them dimension. It reminds me of another Stampin’ Up! (retired) stampset, Sheltering Tree, which I have loved for many years. Anyone else remember that stampset? I love this one sooo much more though–and I think it’s because of all the details. This lovely stampset can be found in the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. I will definitely be making more cards with this stampset!

I started the first card by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ for the top panel, a piece of Early Espresso 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock to 3-7/8 x 5 1/16″, and a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-3/4 x 4-7/8″. I adhered the plaid paper to the card base and the Early Espresso 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock panel to the plaid paper.

I stamped the tree trunk from the Life Is Beautiful stampset to the white panel with Crumb Cake Ink, I layered the leaves by stamping them several times with Bumblebee, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler inks, and used Early Espresso and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers to stamp the little bird house.

For the background I used a American Crafts Heidi Swapp Stencil 6 X6 Polka Dot with Pool Party Ink then inked around the background to give it some more color. I adhered that to the Early Espresso 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock and then stamped a sentiment from the same stampset onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. I cut it down to 1 x 3-3/4″, added Stampin’ Dimensionals behind it and added it to the card. I finished it off by adding a piece of 3/8″ chocolate brown satin ribbon.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 1 x 4-1/4″.

Dimensions

I went with a winter/Christmas theme for the second card; I just really wanted to heat emboss the snowflakes from the Life Is Beautiful stampset. This card features the Tree Angle stampset as well.

I started the second card by cutting a piece of Cherry Cobbler 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ for the top panel, a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-7/8 x 5 1/16″, and another piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-3/4 x 4-7/8″. I adhered the plaid paper to the card base and the Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock panel to the plaid paper.

I stamped the tree trunk from the Life Is Beautiful stampset to the white panel with Basic Gray Ink, then stamped the whole image with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I stamped the ornaments from the Tree Angle stampset with Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce inks, and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Markers to stamp the string on the ornaments. I used an Sponge Dauber to apply the ink to each of the ornaments since there were two coors involved. I then stamped the whole image with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tip: Use a stamping platform such as the Stamparatus to do this so it’s in the same spot.

I used the snowflakes stamp from the Life Is Beautiful stampset with Versamark Ink and stamped it several times over the tree, then added White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I did some ink blending in the background with Balmy Blue Ink, and adhered the panel to the card.

I stamped a sentiment from the Tree Angle stampset onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Cherry Cobbler Ink and cut it down to 3/4 x 4” and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off I added tiny Stampin’ Up! Pearls (retired) to the snowflakes and colored two large ones with Real Red Stampin’ Blends.

On the inside of the card, I added a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 1 x 4-1/4″ and stamped the sentiment and ornaments from the Tree Angle stampset with Shaded Spruce Ink.
