Birthday Cards: Mini Slimline featuring Honeybee Stamps Lovely Layers Cupcakes

Hello friends. This Lovely Layers die set from Honeybee Stamps is so much fun to play with. Lots of options to create cupcakes, sundaes, ice cream cones and more! So many options…

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 7 x 6″ and scored at 3-1/2″ to create a mini slimline card base.

I die cut the glass from Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay (retired) and Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstocks with the Honeybee Stamps Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More. I also die cut 3 ice cream scoops from watercolor paper which I had colored using Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Inks. I die cut the straw from Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and colored it with Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay (retired).

For the sprinkles I used all the same inks but ink blended them onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ before die cutting them.

I stamped the sentiment from Mini Messages: Birthday 4×5 Stamp Set Honeybee Stamps Mini Messages onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Inks and die cut with the Honey Cuts Mini Messages Banners.

I finished off the card by adding highlights with Uni-ball Signo White Broad Point Gel Pen.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added some of the die cut sprinkles.

Birthday Cards: Watercoloring an Embossed Image featuring Crafters Companion

Hello friends. In an effort to spend less this year, I’m trying to shop my stash and use some less loved items. This embossing folder (Crafter’s Companion – Embossalicious – Birthday Cupcake) has been in my stash for a very long time and I cannot remember when las I used it so it’s time. I used watercolor paper so I can color the image with watercolors. It gives it a fun organic look.

For this card, I cut a piece of Bazzill Lime Crush 12 x 12 Cardstock to 6 x 12″ and scored at 6″ to create a square card base and piece of Cold Press 140 lb Watercolor Paper to 6 x 6″. I embossed the panel using the Crafter’s Companion – Embossalicious 6 x 6″ Birthday Cupcake Embossing Folder.

Then I colored the image with watercolors. Once everything was dry I re-embossed the image because when you add water to an embossed image it can lose some of the details.

I die cut the sentiment word ‘Celebrate’ from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 80lb Cardstock using the Catherine Pooler Celebrate Die (no longer available I believe). Then stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream Stampset (retired) onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso Ink.

I finished off the card by adding some sparkle to the ‘Celebrate’ by using a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pens, as well as some Tonic Ivory Seashell Nuvo Crystal Drops, Ripened Pumpkin Gloss Nuvo Crystal Drops, and Tonic Dandelion Yellow Gloss Nuvo Crystal Drops.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and stamped another sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream Stampset (retired) with Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso Ink.

Love/Friendship Cheddar Card featuring Trinity Stamps

Hello friends. Here’s another adorable cheddar card using Trinity Stamps products. I also really like that the images are a quick color.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base. I die cut a piece of Stampin’ Up! 80lb Pool Party Cardstock with the Hero Arts Fancy Dies Circle Confetti and a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Narrow Stripe Cover Plate Die.

I die cut the hearts from Stampin’ Up! 80lb Daffodil Delight 8-1/2 x 11″ (retired) with the Lawn Fawn OUTSIDE IN STITCHED HEART STACKABLES and Queen and Company Vintage Truck – Sweater Weather 6 x 6 Paper Pad (discontinued), using the Lawn Fawn Lacy Heart Stackables. I used the Cheesy Background 6×6 Stencil on the stitched heart with Tim Holtz Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks to make it into cheesy heart (LOL).

I stamped the little images from the Trinity Stamps My Cheddar Half Stamp & Die Set onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers. I used Y11, Y13, & Y18, R20, and YR27. I added some highlights with a White Gel Pen.

I stamped a sentiment from the same stampset onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and cut it down to [1/4 x 2″].

I finished off the card by adding some Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops – Gloss.

On the inside of the card, I cut a strip of pattern paper from Queen and Company Vintage Truck – Sweater Weather 6 x 6 Paper Pad (discontinued) to 1 x 5-1/2″ and added another cheddar couple.
