Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings Stampset and Berry Delightful DSP

Happy New Year everyone! New year, time for some new posts! I want to start the year by introducing you to this cute watercolor berry stampset (Berry Blessings Stampset) and paper featured on page 14 of the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog. Yes, it is time for Sale-A-Bration people!!! It’s time to get free items with your purchases and who doesn’t like free goodies?!? I get very excited about gift-with-purchase promotions. 🙂

This stampset looks like you spent hours watercoloring images without the hassle; I love watercoloring but it can be time consuming and I’m not great at it. It also coordinates with the Sweet Strawberry Stampset and Strawberry Builder Punch found on page 44 in the new January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

I kept these simple, letting the stamps and paper to do the hard work for me. For the first card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base and a panel to 4 x 5-1/4″. Then diecut a circle with a 2-5/8 circle die from the Stampin’ Up! Circle Layering Dies.

I diecut a 2-7/8 circle from a piece of Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Smooth Paper and used Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Ink and a large watercolor brush to create a watercolor background on the circle piece. Then added splashes using a small watercolor brush and Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Ink and Granny Apple Green Ink to the watercolor circle as well as the top panel. Once dry, I adhered the circle to the back of the top panel in the window and the top panel to the card base with Tombow Mono Multipurpose Glue.

Next, I stamped and fussycut fruit and leaf images from the Berry Blessings Stampset and also fussycut some strawberries from the Berry Delightful 12 x 12 DSP. I used Granny Apple Green Ink, Pacific Point Ink, and Rich Razzleberry Ink.

Before adhering the fruit images, I stamped a sentiment from Berry Blessings Stampset with Poppy Parade Classic Ink onto the card then adhered the fruit images, popping some up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly I added some black lines around the circle using a circle die and a Black 0.03 Sakura Pigma Micron Pen.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set with Pacific Point Ink and some berries from the Berry Blessings Stampset with Granny Apple Green Ink, and Rich Razzleberry Ink.

For the second card, I made an stepped up version. I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base and a panel of Berry Delightful 12 x 12 DSP to 4 x 5-1/4″ and a piece of Vellum to 3-5/8″ x 4-1/2″ and adhered them to the card base.

Then diecut a 2-7/8 circle from Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock and 2-5/8 circle from Berry Delightful 12 x 12 DSP with dies from the Stampin’ Up! Circle Layering Dies and adhered them to the card.

Next, I stamped fruit and leaf images from the Berry Blessings Stampset with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Gold Emboss Powder. I watercolored the images using Granny Apple Green Ink, Garden Green Ink, Pacific Point Ink, Poppy Parade Ink and Rich Razzleberry Ink. I fussycut them all out and adhered them to the card, popping some up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Berry Blessings Stampset with Rich Razzleberry Ink, fussycut it out, and adhered it to the card. To finish it off, I added some Metallic Bright Gold Nuvo Drops and Gold Twine.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set with Garden Green Ink and adhered some blueberries I had previously stamped and watercolored.

Stampin’ Up!’s Fireside Trimming stampset

Hi friends. I have one last Fall card and of course another Christmas card. Now I know Fall is over for most of us even though the calendar says it doesn’t end until December 21st but I wanted to show the possibilities with this stamp set. I used Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to add depth to the inside areas, fussycut it out (you can use the coordinating dies but I don’t have them yet) and adhered it to the card.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock and colored them using Stampin Blends and Copic markers. I also stamped the lantern onto a piece of Gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock with Tsukineko Stazon Jet Black Ink, cut out the window and adhered a piece of Vellum behind it.

I stamped the sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Beautiful Autumn stampset with Early Espresso Ink onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock and diecut it to 1-9/16 x 2-1/2″ with the Layering Ovals Dies and a scallop oval from Gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock, measuring 1-3/4 x 2-11/16″. Christmas, Christmas, Holidays 2020, Stampin' Up!

Easy Christmas Card with Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

Here is a quick card that can be easily mass produced for the holidays! I used the Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up which can be found on page 22 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. This stampset coordinates with the Stitched Triangles Dies (pg 179 of the Annual Catalog).

I started this card by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″, which I adhered directly to the card base and a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-3/8 x 4-5/8″.

I stamped the tree and star topper from the Tree Angle Stampset onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Granny Apple Green and Basic Gray and fussycut it out.

I figured out where my tree was going to sit and stamped a sentiment below that from the Tree Angle Stampset with Basic Gray. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to teh back of the tree and added it to the white card panel. I added some Silver Twine from my stash and adhered the panel to the card.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 3/4 x 4-1/4″.

Encouragement, Faux Embossing, Just Because, Stampin' Up!, Summer, Techniques

Faux Embossed Background Using Dies

Hello friends. This faux embossed technique that I discovered a few years ago and is a great way to add dimension to your card without having to emboss. It can be done with most images and all text. I used the word dies from Nothing’s Better Than Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create an embossed background. But to step it up I also decided to add a shaker element to the card.

I started by cutting a piece of Bumblebee 8-1/2X11 Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base. I die cut the “Cocktails” word with the Love You More Than Dies from Bumblebee 8-1/2X11 Cardstock several times. I adhered them to the card using Tombow Mono Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added some Bumblebee Classic Stampin’ Ink to the top of the text and edges of the card base with a Sponge Dauber. Adding ink gives it more of an embossed look because it highlights the raised edges.

I stamped the outline image of the cocktail again as well as the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I used the solid stamps with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Ink and Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Ink to create an ombre effect for the drink. I used a Sponge Dauber to soften the line between the two colors on the stamp before stamping. I colored the glass with Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter.

I stamped a second version of the solid image. I used Bumblebee Classic Stampin’ Ink for the fruit and Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Ink for the umbrella. I trimmed the image to a piece, measuring 1-1/2 x 2-1/4″ and left the second solid image without diecutting. I cut another piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 2 x 6″ and used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to punch one end, creating a tag. I adhered the rectangle piece with the image to the tag and then cut out the center of the drink. I stamped a sentiment from Nothing’s Better Than Stampset with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Ink onto the tag. Then added Acetate and Foam behind the tag, some Clear Diamond Shaker Toppings, adhered the extra stamped cocktail beverage behind and adhered the tag to the card. I finished it off by adding ribbon in Misty Moonlight. Since I don’t have any Misty Moonlight Ribbon I found some white grosgrain ribbon from my stash and colored it using Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Ink and added some Pearls which I colored yellow with a Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.

On the inside of the card, I stamped another sentiment from the Nothing’s Better Than Stampset with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and the cocktail outline image with Bumblebee Classic Stampin’ Ink.
