A Sweet Summer Slimline Birthday Card featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Sweet Ice Cream

Hi friends! Love the look of watercolor but not so great at it like me?!? This Sweet Ice Cream Stampset from Stampin’ Up! is a great option. You can make quick cards with little effort but they look like you spent lots of time watercoloring the images. 🙂 And they look so cute when complete!

I started by cutting a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 7 x 8-1/2″ and scored a at 3-1/2″ to create the card base and another piece to 3-1/4 x 8-1/4″. I used Stampin’ Up! Pool Party Ink and the sprinkle dots from the Sweet Ice Cream Stampset to create the background.

I stamped 3 popsicles and 2 ice cream cones onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Sahara Sand and Soft Suede (cone, popsicle sticks and one ice cream scoop and sprinkles) Inks, Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape and Melon Mambo (popsicles). I used second generation stamping to get the different shades on the popsicles as well as for the pink ice cream scoop.

I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream Stampset onto a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Gorgeous Grape and fussycut it. I also stamped the rest of my sentiment directly on the card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. After adhereing all the images and esntiment to teh card I finished it off ny adding some Doodlebug Sprinkles Self Adhesive Enamel Dots in Bumblebee, Lilac, Swimming Pool, and Cupcake.

On the inside, I stamped the sprinkle dots from the Sweet Ice Cream Stampset with Stampin’ Up! Pool Party Ink.

Christmas, Stampin' Up!

Using Pattern Paper As a Focal Point

Here’s a quick way to create a focal point on your card — pattern paper and a geometric die. It’s quick and you can use minimal supplies.

For the first card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then diecut a piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper with a 2-7/8 circle die from the Stampin’ Up! Circle Layering Dies. This will be the background for my image.

I stamped the ice skating bear from the Warm & Toasty Stampset onto a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored him using Copics since I don’t have enough colors in my Stampin Blends. I used R20 (cheeks); R81, R83, R85 & R56 (hat and scarf); and N1, BG000 & 0 (bear). I fussycut the image out and set it aside.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Warm & Toasty Stampset onto a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock with Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Ink and trimmed it down to 7/8 x 4-1/4”.

I adhered the pattern paper piece, image and sentiment strip to the card. I finished off the card by diecutting some snowflakes from the Stampin’ Up! So Many Snowflakes Die from Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock, Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, and Melon Mambo 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Fireside Trimmings Stamp Set with Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo Ink. I stamped the small polar bear from the Warm & Toasty Stampset onto a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored him using Copics. I used R20 (cheeks), N1, BG000 & 0 (bear). I fussycut the image out, adhered it to the bottom to the card and added some diecut snowflakes from Balmy Blue 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

Cards, Christmas, Holidays 2020, Stampin' Up!

Quick Christmas Cards featuring Word Wishes Dies by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

One tiny stamp, pattern paper and a sentiment die is all it takes to make these cards. Can’t get any easier, right?!?. They are found in the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. This set of cards is good for last minute Christmas cards.

Both cards were created the same way, but just by changing the paper and ink colors you can achieve different looks. I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (Melon Mambo for the first and Crumb Cake for the second) to 2-1/4 x 4-1/4”. I then cut a strip of plain card stock, measuring 1/8 x 4-1/4” ( I used Basic Gray for the first card and Melon Mambo for the second card).

Before adhering the papers to the card base, I used my Stamparatus to stamp a border using the trio ornament stamp from the Tree Angle Stampset. I used Basic Gray Ink for the first card and Melon Mambo Ink for the second.

I adhered the papers to the card and then die cut a sentiment with the Word Wishes Dies from Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and Melon Mambo Cardstock. I diecut three of each and stacked them and adhered them to the card. This gave a nice dimensional look. I finished it off by adding some sparkle with a Wink if Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.

On the inside of the card, I added a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 1/2 x 4-1/4″ and stamped a sentiment and the ornaments from the Tree Angle Stampset (I used Melon Mambo Ink and Basic Gray Ink on the first card and Crumb Cake Ink and Melon Mambo Ink on the second one).

Cards, Christmas, Christmas, Holidays 2020, Stampin' Up!

Easy Christmas Card with Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

Here is a quick card that can be easily mass produced for the holidays! I used the Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up which can be found on page 22 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. This stampset coordinates with the Stitched Triangles Dies (pg 179 of the Annual Catalog).

I started this card by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″, which I adhered directly to the card base and a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-3/8 x 4-5/8″.

I stamped the tree and star topper from the Tree Angle Stampset onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Granny Apple Green and Basic Gray and fussycut it out.

I figured out where my tree was going to sit and stamped a sentiment below that from the Tree Angle Stampset with Basic Gray. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to teh back of the tree and added it to the white card panel. I added some Silver Twine from my stash and adhered the panel to the card.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 3/4 x 4-1/4″.
