Embossed Background Using A Die feat. Lawn Fawn Giant Outlined Happy Birthday

Hello friends. Today I’m using the Lawn Fawn Portrait Giant Outlined Happy Birthday die to create an embossed background. This card was pretty quick to make even with all the die cutting involved.

For the first card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and a piece of Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4″ for the background.

I embossed the sentiment panel from Crafter’s Companion 6 x 6 White Pearl Shimmering Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Portrait Giant Outlined Happy Birthday die. (See your die cutting machine’s manula for the correct sandwich to use). Then die cut the same panel from 6 colors from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 METALLIC JEWELS Kraft Stock Paper and Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Paper Stash METALLIC Kraft Stock Paper.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Catherine Pooler Designs Young at Heart stampset (not available-part of the Stamp of Approval Collections she used to produce) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and added some of the small shapes left over from the sentiment panels.

Halloween Card Combining Older and Newer Lawn Fawn Stamps

Hi friends. Time to work on Halloween cards! It’s never too soon to start making Halloween Cards in my opinion. For this card I decided to use an older Lawn Fawn mason jar stampset (Summertime Charm) with the How You Bean? Candy Corn Add-on stampset.

For this card, I cut a piece of Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then die cut a piece of Stampin’ Up! Elegant Eggplant 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock (retired) with the Catherine Pooler Scallops and Dots dies.and embossed it with Stampin’ Up!’s Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder (retired). Then added some Catherine Pooler Grape Crush Ink as well as Tim Holtz Distress BLACK SOOT Ink to accentuate the raised areas. I also created the moon using Lawn Fawn YETI Pigment Ink and masking paper.

I die cut a piece of Stampin’ Up! Old Olive 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock with the Catherine Pooler Scallops and Dots dies. Then die cut that piece with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border. I used Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides Ink to add some dimension.

I die cut the fence from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock using Lawn Fawn’s Spooky Fence Border.

I stamped all the images onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The mason jar is from Lawn Fawn’s Summertime Charm, the candy corn is from Lawn Fawn’s How You Bean? Candy Corn Add-on, the pumpkins and squirrels from the Lawn Fawn Pick of the Patch, and the ghosts and bats from Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting Stampsets.

I colored all the images with Copic Marker. I used C00, R20 and the blender for the ghosts; Y11, Y13, Y15, YR04, YR07, YR09, C00 & the blender for the candy corn;YG17, YG25, YG67, YR04, YR07, YR09, & YR27 for the pumpkins; BG000, B0000 & 0 for the mason jar; R20, C00, C3 & C5 for the squirrels; YR31, YR14 & Y11 for the pumpkin guts; and BV0000, BV11 & BV04 for the pumpkin scoop.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Pick of the Patch onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest with Catherine Pooler Orange Peel Ink and cut it to 5/8 x 3-1/8″.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest to 4 x 5-1/4″ and added an extra ghost, pumpkin and bats.

Summer Drink Card Using Just Dies: Minimal Stamping feat. Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. Here’s another fun summer card using the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Drink Dies. This requires minimal stamping. I used all dies except for the sentiment strip and added texture to the background using a Tim Holtz stencil. I love how bright this card turned out. Definitely some summer vibes happening here!

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and another piece die cut using the Catherine Pooler Scallops & Dots Dies.

I inked the background with the Tim Holtz Rays Layering Stencil (THS003) and Catherine Pooler Designs Cummerbund and Fiesta Blue Inks.

I die cut the glass from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″, it’s background from Stampin’ Up! So Saffron 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock (retired), using the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Drink. I die cut the lemons, limes and all greenery from Stampin’ Up! So Saffron 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock (retired), Simon Says Stamp 100lb Green Apple and 100lb Green Leaf Cardstocks using Lawn Fawn Zesty Lemon and Lawn Fawn Build-A-Drink Dies. I die cut the ice cubes from Crafter’s Companion Shimmering 6 x 6″, White Pearl Cardstock and the straw from Lawn Fawn GOTTA HAVE GINGHAM RAINBOW 6×6 Inch Petite Paper Pack using the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Drink Dies and the fruit basket from Lawn Fawn Fruit Salad 6×6 Inch Petite Paper Pack using the Lawn Fawn Fruit Basket die.

I added dimension to the images by inking them. I used Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink for the lighter leaves and limes; Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink for the darker leaves and stems; Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink for the lemons and the drink and Stampin’ Up! Sahara Sand Ink (retired) for the fruit basket.

I die cut one of the banners from from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banners Dies and stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm Stampset with Midnight Ink.

I finished off the card by adding Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I left inside of the card blank and just added a small lime wedge.

Coffee Lovers Summertime Card feat. Lawn Fawn Build-A-Drink

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 7 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 3-1/2″ to create a card base, die cut a piece of Stampin’ Up!’s Coffee Break 12 x 12 Pattern Paper (retired) with the largest die in the Lawn Fawn Large Slimline with Sliders and cut another piece to 3-1/4 x 8-1/4″. I colored the cold brew coffee with Stampin’ Up!’s Early Espresso Ink and the latte with Catherine Pooler Designs Sand Castle and Over Coffee inks. Watercolor Baby Shower Card feat. Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. I could not help but make some more baby cards with the Lawn Fawn Giant Outlined Hello Baby Die. It’s such a fun die to play with. I combined this one with images from an older stampset I have, the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby Stampset (which ironically has the same name as the die but is now discontinued).

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base. And another piece from the Doodlebug 6 x 6 Kraft in color – color paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. I die cut a scalloped panel from Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue 12 x 12 Glimmer Cardstock (retired) using the Catherine Pooler Tags, Etc Die set.

I die cut the sentiment panel from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and Echo Park – Bundle of Joy (Dots & Stripes) 6 x 6 Paper Pack (discontinued) using Lawn Fawn Giant Outlined Hello Baby Die.

For the background, I cut a piece of Watercolor Paper to 3-3/4 x 5″. Then used Tim Holtz Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Wild Honey Distress Inks.

I stamped images from the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby Stampset (discontinued) onto some Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento TUXEDO BLACK Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used YG25, YG17 & YG01 and Y02, Y13, & Y15 for the frog; C1, C3 & C5, R20 for the bunny; BG000 & 0 for the cloud; Y02, Y13, & Y15, R20, YR09 & YR16 for the ducks; YG25 & YG17 for the rattles; and B14, B16 & B12 for the umbrella.

I stamped the rest of the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby Stampset (discontinued) onto some Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento TUXEDO BLACK Ink and trimmed it down to 1/2 x 3″ and cut banner tales on one side.

On the inside of the card I added two strips of pattern paper measuring 1 x 4-1/4″ and 3/4 x 4-1/4″ and a duck.

Two Cards Using One Die: No Waste

Hello friends. In honor of Pride month I made these two rainbow cards using the Catherine Pooler Designs Retro Love Dies. This die produces a very cool sentiment that allows you to use the word by itself, with the shadow or even cut out an outline of the word. You can also use it to create shaker cards.

For this first card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base, as well as another piece cut to 4 x 5-1/4″. I added double sided tape to the panel and then cut 1/2 inch strips of colored paper from DCWV Double-Sided Mat Stack 4.5″X6.5″ Brights (may be discontinued – link to similar stack below), Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock (retired), and Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock.

I trimmed the excess paper and die cut the word “LOVE” from the center of the card. I die cut the word 3x more from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock so I can stack them and create dimension and added a piece of the black cardstock behind it.

I stamped the a sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Buzzword stamps (retired) onto some Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink and trimmed it down to 1/2 x 4 x 5-1/4″. Before adhering it to the card I added some Love From Lizi Silver Glitter Pin Stripe Peel-offs.

I finished off the card by adding some Pretty Pink Posh PLATINUM Pearls.

I left the inside of the card blank.

Dimensions

For the second card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base. Then cut a piece of pattern paper from Catherine Pooler Designs Black Tie Gala 6 x 6 Paper (discontinued) to 2-1/2 x 4-1/4″. I also cut a piece of Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock to 1-3/16 x 5-1/2″ for the sentiment.

When I die cut the word “LOVE” and the shadow from the center of the previous rainbow panel, it left me with an outline which I will use for this card. I die cut the shadow from Silver Glitter Cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Simply Sentiments Stampset with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Wow White Embossing Powder.

I finished off the card by adding some Smooth Silver Sequin Discs.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of the same pattern paper blank to 1 x 5-1/2″.

Baby, Inlay diecutting technique

Hello Baby Shower Cards feat. Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. I needed some very quick baby shower cards recently to bring to my cousin’s baby shower and of course my brain could not come up with anything. I saw this card from the Lawn Fawn design team, Kara Pogreba, which was really cute and seemed quick to make so I had to CASE it. I love the elephants from the Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade stampsets! So cute!!! And you can make them any color you want too! I was given specific colors to use.

For blue version of this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base. The pink version used a piece Lawn Fawn Kraft 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock. Then cut a piece of pattern paper from Pebbles 12 x 12 Special Delivery (discontinued) and a piece of Echo Park IT’S A GIRL 6 x 6 Mega Paper Pad to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.

I die cut the sentiment panel from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Kraft 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock, and Echo Park – It’s A Girl Collection 12 x 12 Paper Pack Solids using Lawn Fawn Giant Outlined Hello Baby Die.

I stamped the images from the Lawn Fawn Set Elephant Parade Stamps onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento TUXEDO BLACK Ink and colored with Copic Markers.

I used C00, C3, C5, R20 & R30 for the elephants and mice; and BG000, Y02 & Y15, B32 & B37 (blue card), BG10 & 0, Y00 & Y02, R000 & R20, & G12 & G82 (pink card) for the bottles.

I die cut the banner from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and Lawn Fawn Kraft 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banners Die Cuts. Then stamped a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Set Elephant Parade Add-On Stampset with Memento TUXEDO BLACK Ink.

I left the inside of the card blank.

Emboss Resist Technique, Father's Day, Masculine

Emboss Resist Background Father’s Day Card feat. Catherine Pooler Feelinโ€™ Fizzy

Hello friends. Father’s Day is in a few weeks and today I’m sharing a masculine card that was so much fun to make and didn’t actually take too long. The most time consuming part of this card is the heat embossing. And as you can see mine didn’t come out perfect but I left it so you can see that things don’t always work out how we want and that’s ok!

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base, as well as a piece of Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Paper, cut to 4 x 5-1/4″.

For the background, I stamped the bubbles and the bottle caps from the Catherine Pooler Designs Feelin’ Fizzy stampset with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed using WOW OPAQUE BRIGHT WHITE Embossing Powder. Then inked it with Catherine Pooler Designs Pebble, Hoodie, and Cummerbund Inks.

I stamped the bottle images onto some Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink using the Catherine Pooler Designs Feelin’ Fizzy stampset for the outline and It’s a Girl and Party Dress; Melon Ice and Lime Rickey; and Fiesta Blue and Something Borrowed Inks for the liquid.

I stamped the sentiment from Feelin’ Fizzy stampset onto some Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink and fussycut it out. I stamped the “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment onto some Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed using WOW OPAQUE BRIGHT WHITE Embossing Powder. I cut it down to 1/2 x 3-1/4″.

Before adhering anything onto the background panel, I added Ranger GLOSSY ACCENTS to the bubbles.

I finished off the card by adding some Key Lime Nuvo Jewel Drops.

I left the inside of the card blank.

Mother's Day, Stenciled Background

Rainbow Mother’s Day Cards feat. Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. Mother’s Day is coming soon and if you need to make a quick card here’s one for you. For this very bright and happy card I used stencils to create a quick background with lots of punch.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 10 x 7″ and scored at 5″ to create a card base, and another piece to 4-3/4 x 6-3/4.

I stenciled the background using the Lawn Fawn Corner Rainbow Stencils and Tim Holtz Kitsch Flamingo, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks.

I die cut the sentiment from the top panel using the Lawn Fawn Giant Happy Mother’s Day as well as twice from Simon Says Stamp 100lb Black Cardstock. Then stamped the butterflies from the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Day stampset (This came in the SSS April 2018 Card Kit which is now discontinued) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I finished off the card by adding some Fresh Snowfall Nuvo Glitter Drops.

I left the inside of the card blank.

Birthdays, Distress Ink Techniques, Shaker, Stenciled Background

Rainbow Birthday Cards feat. Lawn Fawn Giant Outlined Happy Birthday

Hello friends. I’m having more fun today with the Lawn Fawn Giant Outlined Happy Birthday dies. This time I’m using the Portrait die with very simple backgrounds. I’m also turning one into a shaker card. These two cards both feature rainbow backgrounds but in two very different ways.

For the first card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base, a piece Strathmore 100lb Smooth Bristol Paper to 3-3/4 x 5″ for the background, and a piece of Doodlebug FAIRY GARDEN 6×6 Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.

I stenciled the background using the Lawn Fawn Corner Rainbow Stencils and Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Broken China, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. Then added clouds using the My Favorite Things Mini Edge Clouds Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

I die cut the sentiment panel from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Lawn Fawn Portrait Giant Outlined Happy Birthday Die. To finish it off I added some shimmer with the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pens.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of the same pattern paper to 1 x 5-1/2″ and stamped a sentiment from Catherine Pooler Designs Young at Heart stampset (not available-part of the Stamp of Approval Collections she used to produce) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Dimensions

For the second card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base, a piece Strathmore 100lb Smooth Bristol Paper to 4 x 5-1/4″ for the background.

I ink blended the background using Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Broken China, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet Distress Inks.

I die cut the sentiment panel from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Lawn Fawn Portrait Giant Outlined Happy Birthday Die. I added a piece of Acetate measuring 3-3/4 x 5″ and very thin strips of 3M Foam Tape to the back of the panel to create a shaker. I added some Pretty Pink Posh 4MM Sparkling Clear Sequins and Martha Stewart Sugar Cube Iridescent Hearts & Stars.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Catherine Pooler Designs Young at Heart stampset (not available-part of the Stamp of Approval Collections she used to produce) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
