Another Easy Masculine Birthday Card featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business

Hi friends! As promised, here I another quick and simple masculine card idea using Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set. These can be easily mass produced and allows you to use up some of your pattern papers.

For this card, I used Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ cut to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make the card base. I cut a piece of striped Pear Pizazz pattern paper from the Stampin’ Up! Coffee Break 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (retired), measuring 1-1/4 x 5-1/2″ and two pieces of the woodgrain pattern paper from the same paper pack measuring 1-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and 3/4 x 2-1/2″.

I stamped the decanter and three glasses from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Espresso Truffle Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used BG000 + 0 for the glass and E34 + E37 + E29 for the whiskey.

Before adhering the images to the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set onto the card with Memento Espresso Truffle Ink. I added some Love From Lizi Gold Mirror Moondust Pinstripe Peel-offs to the pattern paper pieces then added the images, popping up two of the glasses with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished it off by adding Pale Gold Nuvo Drops.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Biggest Wish Stamp Set with Pear Pizazz Ink and Memento Espresso Truffle Ink plus a glass from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Memento Espresso Truffle Ink.

Easy to Mass Produce Masculine Cards featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business

Hi friends! As promised, here a few more masculine card ideas using Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set. These can be easily mass produced and are great for birthdays, Father’s Day or any celebration.

For the first card, I used Stampin’ Up! Old Olive 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock cut to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make the card base and a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ cut to 4 x 5-1/4″. I stamped the curly rind from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Coastal Cabana Ink to create the background. Then adhered the panel to the card base.

I cut a piece of Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 7/8 x 5-1/4″ and stamped the woodgrain border from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink to create a border and adhered it to the card.

I stamped 3 glass images and one curly rind from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. A tip for mass producing this card is do everything in steps (cut all your cardstock, then all the stamping etc). I used BG000 + 0 for the glass, YR16 + YR21 + YR23 for the whiskey and YR16 + YR27 for the rind.

I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set onto a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Old Olive Ink and trimmed it to 3/4 x 2-3/4″ and adhered that to a piece of Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock, cut to 1 x 3″. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the glasses to the card.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″, adhered it to the card and stamped a sentiment and glasses from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set and another from Stampin’ Up!’s Well Said Stamp Set (retired) with Old Olive Ink.

The glass images were stamped and colored the same as before. And I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink. I backed the sentiment strip with Stampin’ Up! So Saffron 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″, adhered it to the card and stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Well Said Stamp Set (retired) with Coastal Cabana Ink and glasses from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink.

For the third card, I followed the same steps as before but used Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the card base and stamped the curly rind with Early Espresso Ink to create the background.

Cards, Father's Day, Holidays 2021, Masculine, Watercolor

Watercolor Father’s Day Shape Card

Hi friends. I’m back with a very easy watercolor card for Father’s Day, using the Honey Bee Stamps Big Pickup Tailgate Stampset. If you are not a great watercolorist and have trouble coloring within the lines (like me), this technique will save you tons of aggravation. It also uses minimal supplies.

I started by stamping the truck image from Honey Bee Stamps Big Pickup Tailgate Stampset with Versamark Ink onto Canson XL Series Watercolor Pad. Then added Gold Embossing Powder over it and heat set it. I also stamped the sentiment on the license plate and “Happy Father’s Day” from the Lawn Fawn HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY Stampset and heat set them with the same embossing powder.

I used my Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI Watercolor Set to color the image. I love these watercolors. theya re very pigmented and produce beautiful colors. But you can easily use dye inks to watercolor as well. Once dry, I diecut the truck with the coordinating dies. I also cut another truck from the Canson XL Series Watercolor Pad for the back of the car as well as a strip measuring 1″ wide x 3/4″ long and scored it at 1/2″. I adhered the strip to the back and front panels of the card to create the card base.

I left the inside of the card blank.

An Old Fashioned Birthday Card featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business

Hi everyone! Need an easy masculine card or for someone who loves a good old fashioned adult beverage??? Well have I got some cards for you! This post features one pretty quick and simple card. More cards to come… stay tuned.

For this card, I started by cutting a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/2″ to make a card base and diecut a 3-3/4″circle from Balmy Blue 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock using the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8/PK – Circles. Then embossed it with the Stampin’ Up! Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder (discontinued). Any woodgrain embossing folder will do here.

I distressed it with Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue and Soft Suede Inks and adhered it to the card base. Next I stamped the decanter, two glasses and one rind images from the Stampin’ Up! Whiskey Business Cling Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and added Ranger Gold Embossing Powder.

I used Copic Markers to color the images. Be very careful with the tips of your markers as embossing powder will get stuck to it. You have to keep rubbing it off as you color so as not to ruin your nibs. I used B0000 + 0 for the glasses and decanter, YR21, YR23 and YR27 for the liquid.

I fussycut the images and adhered them to the card, adding Stampin’ Dimensionals to the one glass. Next, I stamped the sentiment onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ from the Stampin’ Up! Whiskey Business Cling Stamp Set with Soft Suede Ink and cut it to 1 x 2-7/8” and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished it off by adding Ranger Glossy Accents to the decanter and glasses and some Nuvo Drops in Metallic Bright Gold.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp Set with Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Ink and added a strip of Balmy Blue 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock, measuring 1 x 5-1/4” which I embossed with the Stampin’ Up! Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder (discontinued) and distressed with Balmy Blue and Soft Suede Inks.

Creating Feminine and Masculine Watercolor Cards Using One Stampset

Hi friends. I’m back with some more cute cards using the Honey Bee Stamps Big Pickup Cab Stampset. Do you have stampsets that you think won’t work for both feminine and masculine cards?!? Try changing the color. It worked great for these birthday cards.

I started by stamping the truck image from Honey Bee Stamps Big Pickup Cab Stampset with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink onto Canson XL Series Watercolor Pad. Then added Clear Embossing Powder over it and heat set it. Next I used Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink for the truck, Mustard Seed Distress Ink for the headlights, Pumice Stone and Black Soot Distress Inks for the tires and metal items, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the windshield.

Once dry, I stamped the sentiment on the hood with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink and diecut the truck with the coordinating dies. I also cut another truck from the Canson XL Series Watercolor Pad for the back of the car as well as a strip measuring 1″ wide x 3/4″ long and scored it at 1/2″. I adhered the strip to the back and front panels of the card to create the card base.

For the second card, I followed the same procedure except I used Catherine Pooler Designs Suede Shoes and Eucalyptus Inks for the truck, Catherine Pooler Designs Chiffon Ink for the headlights, Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate and Catherine Pooler Designs Black Jack Ink for the tires and metal items, and Catherine Pooler Designs Hot Tub Ink for the windshield.

And that completes these cards. They are pretty easy to make. The watercoloring is a little time consuming but I find it cathartic. If it’s not your thing, use your favorite coloring tools instead.

I left the inside of the cards blank.
