Giant Sentiment Shaker Birthday Card feat. Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. Here’s a another shaker card that can be used for anyone but this one features a large sentiment as the shaker element. These giant sentiment dies from Lawn Fawn are a great way to make quick cards that make an impact.

For this card, I cut a piece of Lawn Fawn 100lb Black Licorice Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and a piece to 3-3/4 x 5″ using the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I diecut the sentiment from the center of the top panel using the Lawn Fawn Giant Happy Birthday Die.

I added clear acetate behind the panel and added 3M Foam Tape to create a shaker. I used Queen and Company shaker toppings and Martha Stewart Glitter Set-Iridescent Hearts & Stars. And then added a piece of Doodlebug 6 x 6 Kraft-in-Color pattern paper to the back to close it up.

I stamped the hats from Lawn Fawn Hats Off to You Stampset with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″. I colored them with Copic Markers. I used Y13, V04, BG10, YR04, R17, and B12.

I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ from the Lawn Fawn Hats Off to You Stampset with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Then cut it down to 7/16 x 2-7/16″

I finished off the card by adding some Nuvo Glitter Drops in Silver Moondust.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″ and a strip of the same pattern paper measuring 1 x 4″ and added another hat.

Birthdays, Inlay diecutting technique

Giant Sentiment Happy Birthday Card feat. Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. Need a birthday card that looks like it took a long time but doesn’t?!? Shhh. I won’t tell if you don’t. Using this giant sentiment die from Lawn Fawn is a really easy way to just that! They have both a portrait and a landscape die. I had to get both! Here’s how this card came together. Stay tuned for more cards using these dies.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and a piece of My Favorite Things Tranquil Textures 6 x 6 Cardstock (I think this paper is discontinued) to 4 x 5-1/4″.

I die cut the sentiment panel from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and from Simon Says Stamp 6 x 6 Glitter Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Landscape Giant Outlined Happy Birthday Die. I popped all the pieces except the outline and the letter centers (A, B, D etc). I inlayed the purple letters die cut from the glitter paper. This die is a little fussy to work with but the results are awesome!!!

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of the same pattern paper to 1 x 5-1/2″ and stamped a sentiment from Catherine Pooler Designs Young at Heart stampset (not avialble-part of the Stamp of Approval Collections she used to produce) with Catherine Pooler Eucalyptus Ink.
