Fun Minty Cards featuring Lawn Fawn Dies

Hello friends. When Lawn Fawn came out with the How You Bean? Mint Add-on, I knew I had to get it. I love that they keep adding sets to go with the How You Bean? set. They are so much fun to play with and endless possibilities for cards. I used the same background die for both — the Lawn Fawn Peppermint Stripes Backdrop along with the same two stamp sets above to make two cards for different occasions.

For both cards, I cut two pieces of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create card bases. Then I die cut Stampin’ Up! Real Red 8-1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Guava 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Peppermint Stripes Backdrop and adhered each to the card base.

For the first card, I die cut a panel from Vellum with the Catherine Pooler Scallops and Dots Die Set and embossed it with one of the embossing folders from the the Queen and Company Embossing Folder Bundle.

I stamped the mason jar from Lawn Fawn HOW YOU BEAN? stampset with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and the lid with Tsukineko Stazon Midi Jet Black Ink Pad onto a piece of Stampin’ Up! RED & GREEN 12″ X 12″FOIL SHEETS. Then stamped the peppermints from the Lawn Fawn Set How You Bean? Mint Add-on with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″.

I used Copic Markers to color the jar and add some shading to the peppermints. I used BG000 + BG01 and C1 and C00 for the peppermints. I diecut all the images with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card, popping up a few peppermints using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Merry Messages Stamp Set with Stampin’ Up! Real Red Ink onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and trimmed it before adding to the card.

I finished it by adding some Tonic FRESH SNOWFALL Nuvo Glitter Accents.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Merry Messages Stamp Set and peppermints from the Lawn Fawn Set How You Bean? Mint Add-on with Stampin’ Up! Real Red Ink.

For the second card, I die cut a panel from Vellum with the Catherine Pooler Scallops and Dots Die Set. I stamped the mason jar from Lawn Fawn HOW YOU BEAN? stampset with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and the lid with Tsukineko Stazon Midi Jet Black Ink Pad onto a piece of Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Paper Stash Metallic Kraft Stock. Then stamped the peppermints from the Lawn Fawn Set How You Bean? Mint Add-on with Stampin’ Up! Old Olive Ink onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″.

I used Copic Markers to color the jar and add some shading to the peppermints. I used BG000 + 0 and C1 and C00 for the peppermints. I diecut all the images with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card.

I stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Set How You Bean? Mint Add-on with Lawn Fawn Guava Ink onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and trimmed it before adding to the card.

I finished it by adding some Metallic Bright Gold Nuvo Crystal Drops.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment and peppermints from the Lawn Fawn Set How You Bean? Mint Add-on with Stampin’ Up! Old Olive Ink.

Birthdays, Celebrations, Father's Day, Masculine, Stampin' Up!

Easy to Mass Produce Masculine Cards featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business

Hi friends! As promised, here a few more masculine card ideas using Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set. These can be easily mass produced and are great for birthdays, Father’s Day or any celebration.

For the first card, I used Stampin’ Up! Old Olive 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock cut to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make the card base and a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ cut to 4 x 5-1/4″. I stamped the curly rind from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Coastal Cabana Ink to create the background. Then adhered the panel to the card base.

I cut a piece of Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 7/8 x 5-1/4″ and stamped the woodgrain border from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink to create a border and adhered it to the card.

I stamped 3 glass images and one curly rind from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. A tip for mass producing this card is do everything in steps (cut all your cardstock, then all the stamping etc). I used BG000 + 0 for the glass, YR16 + YR21 + YR23 for the whiskey and YR16 + YR27 for the rind.

I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set onto a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Old Olive Ink and trimmed it to 3/4 x 2-3/4″ and adhered that to a piece of Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock, cut to 1 x 3″. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the glasses to the card.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″, adhered it to the card and stamped a sentiment and glasses from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set and another from Stampin’ Up!’s Well Said Stamp Set (retired) with Old Olive Ink.

Dimensions

For the second card, I followed the same steps but used Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the card base and stamped the curly rind with So Saffron Ink to create the background.

I used Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the border and stamped the woodgrain border with Coastal Cabana Ink.

The glass images were stamped and colored the same as before. And I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink. I backed the sentiment strip with Stampin’ Up! So Saffron 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″, adhered it to the card and stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Well Said Stamp Set (retired) with Coastal Cabana Ink and glasses from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink.

For the third card, I followed the same steps as before but used Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the card base and stamped the curly rind with Early Espresso Ink to create the background.

I used Stampin’ Up! Old Olive 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the border and stamped the woodgrain border with Old Olive Ink.

The glass images were stamped and colored the same as before. And I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Coastal Cabana Ink. I backed the sentiment strip with Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″, adhered it to the card and stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Well Said Stamp Set (retired) with Early Espresso Ink and glasses from Stampin’ Up!’s Whiskey Business Stamp Set with Coastal Cabana Ink.

Christmas, Holidays 2020, Stampin' Up!

2 Cards Featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Sweetest Borders Die

What is better than candy canes during the holiday season?!?? Well maybe, hot chocolate and candy canes (yum!). 🙂 This cute candy cane border is from Stampin’ Up!’s Sweetest Borders Dieset which also features a holly leaves border and individual candy canes, peppermints and holly leaves. Lots of options with this dieset. It can be found on page 21 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog. It also coordinates with the Sweetest Time Stampset.

I kept these cards simple but changed the papers and ink colors. For the first card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6″ X 6″ Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ for the top panel and adhered it to the card base.

I diecut the candy cane border as well as some extra peppermints and candy canes with the Sweetest Borders Dies from Red Glitter Paper. I also diecut some candy canes and peppermints in white using the solid dies which cuts the backing. For the tiny peppermints I just added a piece of white cardstock behind it. I adhered the border to the card and trimmed off the excess.

I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Means More stampset onto a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock with Real Red Ink. I fussycut the sentiment and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Fireside Trimmings with Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake Ink and added a red glitter candy cane. And that’s it for this card. Very easy!

Then cut a piece of Wonder of the Season 12 x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ for the top panel and adhered it to the card base.

I diecut the candy cane border as well as some extra peppermints and candy canes with the Sweetest Borders Dies from Red Foil. I also diecut some candy canes and peppermints in white using the solid dies which cuts the backing. For the tiny peppermints I just added a piece of white cardstock behind it. I adhered the border to the card and trimmed off the excess.
