Get Well Soon Bear Card (feat. Lawn Fawn)

Hi friends. Here’s a quick and easy cut little get well card featuring the Lawn Fawn Here For You Bear stampset.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4-1/2 x 9″ and scored at 4-1/2″ to create the card base.

I cut a piece of Montval Acid-Free Cold Press Watercolor Paper, 140 lb, 18 X 24 in, Natural White to about 4-1/4 x 4-1/4″ and used the Catherine Pooler ink refills in Party Dress, Tiki Torch, Limoncello, Lime Rickey, Something Borrowed, and Grape Crush to create drips on the panel. I just squirted a dot of the ink onto the very top of the panel then using a brush dripped water onto it and let it run down the page. I added some splashes with a few of the same inks.

Then I diecut the panel using the second largest die from the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6/PK – Squares, Scallop (4-1/8 x 4-1/8″). I cut a piece of Vellum with the next smaller scallop square (3-3/8 x 3-3/8″) as well. I stamped a background with the raindrop from Lawn Fawn’s Here For You Bear stampset with Ranger Archival Manganese Blue onto the vellum piece.

I stamped the images and sentiments from Lawn Fawn’s Here For You Bear stampset onto a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images with Copic Markers.

I used Y02, Y13 & Y18, E33, E37 & E29, E00 & E33 (nose) for the bear; R14 & R27, Y13 & Y18, B02 & B06 for the rainbow; BG000 & 0 for the clouds and the puddles. I fussycut the images and trimmed the sentiment strips to 7/16 x 2-1/2 and 7/16 x 1-3/4 and added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the rainbows to pop them up.

I finished off the card by adding some Morning Dew Nuvo Drops.

On the inside of the card, I stamped another sentiment and rainbow from Lawn Fawn’s Here For You Bear stampset with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Create a Foiled Background Using Stencils

Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Easter Joy 2022 Card Kit

Hi friends. Here’s a cute and easy card featuring the Limited Edition Simon Says Stamp EASTER JOY 2022 Card Kit. I created the background using a foiling technique. Really quick and easy.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah Environment Smooth Desert Storm 80lb Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. I also cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8″ for the top panel.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Layering Eggs Stencil set (the patterns layer) and applied Therm O Web Transfer Gel Duo DecoFoil with a spatula to the top panel. I let it dry completely for a few hours then ran the panel through my laminator with Therm O Web Gina K Designs Glimmering Gold Fancy Foil Deco Foil. Once completely cooled I used distress inks to color the eggs using the solid stencil layer.

I used Tim Holtz Spun Sugar, Abandoned Coral, Mustard Seed, Speckled Egg, Stormy Sky, Dusty Concord Distress Inks. I adhered the panel to a piece of Therm O Web Gina K Designs Glimmering Gold Fancy Foil Deco Foil cut to 4 x 5-1/4″ and then onto a piece of Echo Park My Favorite Easter 6 x 6 Paper Pad cut to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.

For the sentiment I cut it out from a Lawn Fawn pattern paper scrap I had in my stash with the Lawn Fawn Giant Happy Easter Die Cut. I also die cut three from Stampin’ Up! Basic Black 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock which I stacked and adhered behind the pink sentiment.

Lastly, I added a strip from the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips Reverse Easter Wishes to complete the sentiment.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4″ and strip of the pattern paper from the front, cut to 7/8 x 4″.

Easy Distress Backgrounds (Part 2): Let’s Make Cards

Hello friends. In part 1 of this post I showed how I created six backgrounds using distress inks, markers, and crayons. It’s time to make some cards with these. I kept them pretty simple to show that you don’t need to always make complicated cards (even though I tend to).

For the first set of backgrounds, I started the cutting a piece of Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and a piece of Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the two card bases. I cut the watercolor paper panel down to 4 x 5-1/4″ and left the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper one 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.

For this card I decided to make a shaker card. I diecut a stitched rectangle from the center with the Catherine Pooler Scallops & Dots Dies. Then added a piece of acetate and 3M Foam Tape behind it, added some pink, black and white sequins from my stash (I tried to pick flat ones) and adhered the panel to the card. I diecut the sentiment from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and the shadow from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock using the Honey Bee Stamps Thanks Die (this is an older die and I don’t think it’s been retired). I finished it off by adding some additional black sequins.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″ and stamped another sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink.

Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper

I diecut the sentiment from the panel using the same die and a second two more from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock and stacked them. (If you do this diecut technique make sure to save the pieces from the insides of the letters to add back. I just used put some post it tape over the whole sentiment before popping it out from the panel.) I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto some Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink using the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset, embossed it with WOW Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White Super Fine, and cut it down to 7/16 x 2-5/8″. I finished it off by adding some Tonic Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink.

Dimensions

For the second set of backgrounds, I started the cutting a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and a piece of Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the two card bases. I cut both panels down to 4 x 5-1/4″.

I diecut one set of letters from the Honey Bee Bold Alphabet Dies from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Paper Stash Metallic Jewels Kraft Stock (the dark gray or black) and two sets from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock and stacked them. I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto some Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink using the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset, embossed it with WOW Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White Super Fine, and cut it down to 1/4 x 3-3/4″. I finished it off by adding some Tonic Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″ and stamped another sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink.

Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper

I started by diecutting the sentiment from the panel using Honey Bee Stamps Thanks Die which turned out to be an epiq fail because I ran it through two times becuase it wasn’t cutting and it shifted so then I had to cover it so I cut a piece of purple metallic cardstock from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Paper Stash Metallic Jewels Kraft Stock to 2-1/8 x 4″ and added some Love From Lizi Black GlitterPeel-offs. Then diecut the 2x from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock with the Honey Bee Stamps Thanks Die and the shadow from Vellum. Then stamped the rest of the sentiment onto some Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink using the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset, embossed it with WOW Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White Super Fine, and cut it down to 1/4 x 2-3/8″.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink.

Dimensions

For the third set of backgrounds, I started the cutting two pieces of Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstocktock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the two card bases. I cut both panels down to 4 x 5-1/4″.

I diecut a scalloped circle (measuring 2-1/2″) from the center with the Stampin’ Up! Layering Circles Dies. (Just a note about these layering circles as well as the other layering dies from SU!. I never thought I would get so much use out of them but I actually have so they kinda paid for themselves by now, And that’s crafty win in my book!).

Then added a piece of acetate and 3M Foam Tape behind it, added the Catherine Pooler {Portland Sequin Mix as well as some larger green sequins from my stash (I tried to pick flat ones) and adhered the panel to the card.

I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset with Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and then die cut it using the coordinating word dies. I also stamped the rest of the sentiment from the same stampset onto some Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Versamark Ink, embossed it with WOW Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White Super Fine, and cut it down to 9/16 x 3-3/16″. I finished it off by adding some Tonic Dark Walnut Nuvo Crystal Drops.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″ and stamped another sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset with Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink. I also added two pieces of the leftover scalloped cirlce from the front.

Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper

I started by stamping the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset onto some Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Versamark Ink, embossed it with WOW Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White Super Fine, and then die cut it using the coordinating word dies. I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto the card panel with Versamark Ink and embossed it with WOW Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White Super Fine. I finished it off by adding some Tonic Caribbean Ocean Nuvo Crystal Drops.

On the inside, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″ and stamped another sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks stampset with Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso Ink.

St. Patrick’s Day Card featuring Simon Says Stamp Wooly Lucky

Hello friends. This little llama found his luck at the end of the rainbow! With this card I created some layers with stencils and stamps. It’s easy to do this by masking off areas. Keep reading to see how I did this…

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then cut another panel to 4 x 5-1/4″. I rounded the corners on both using We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper, 0.25″ & 0.5.

For the background, I stamped a rainbow using the Simon Says Clear Stamps RAINBOW IS MY FAVORITE COLOR and Catherine Pooler Designs Samba, Catching Rays, Lime Rickey, and Cummerbund inks. I masked off the rainbow with some post-it notes and then using the Simon Says Stamp Stencil BUILD A RAINBOW and Catherine Pooler Designs Catching Rays Ink to add a sun behind it.

I stamped the clouds from the Simon Says Clear Stamps RAINBOW IS MY FAVORITE COLOR, the llama. shamrocks and sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Wooly Lucky onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I colored the images with Copic colors. I used W0, W1 & 0, R20, & C7 for the llama; G07 & G09, C7 & C9, Y15 & Y17 for the hat and bow; YG03 for the shamrocks; YG03, YG17, G07, Y15 & Y17 for the blanket; and BG000 & 0 for the clouds. I fussy cut all the images and adhered them to the card.

I added some 3M Foam Tape to the cloud in the front and finished off the card by adding sparkle to the clouds with Spectrum Noir CLEAR OVERLAY Sparkle Pen and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Metallic Bright Gold to the sun.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added some shamrocks.

Stenciled Background St. Patrick’s Day Card

Hello friends. Here’s a quick but very cute St. Patrick’s Day card featuring Simon Says Stamp’s Wooly Lucky Stampset (this came out last year I believe). It’s a very simple card with a subtle stenciled background. I love using stencils for backgrounds because it makes it so quick. And who’s got time to make complicated backgrounds these days?!? Not me.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base and a piece from Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. I used the Scrapbook.com Shamrocks 6 x 8″ Stencil with Catherine Pooler Garden Party Ink to create the background. I die cut it with the largest dot die from Catherine Pooler’s Scallops & Dots Dies which measures 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.

I stamped the llama and two rainbows from the Simon Says Stamp’s Wooly Lucky Stampset onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black.

I colored the images with Copic colors. I used W0, W1 & 0, R20, & C7 for the llama; G07 & G09, C7 & C9, Y15 & Y17 for the hat and bow; YG03 for the shamrocks; YG03, YG17, G07, Y15 & Y17 for the blanket; R17 & R27, YR04 & YR07, YG17 & G07, B02 & B04, BV08 & BV17 for the rainbow; and BG000 & 0 for the clouds. I fussy cut all the images.

I stamped the sentiment from the from Lawn Fawn Hats Off to You Clear Stamps onto the card panel with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then using my MISTI stamped over it with Versamark Ink, heat embossed it with Ranger CLEAR Embossing Powder.

Before adhereing the images to the card panel, I cut a piece of Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Paper Stash Metallic Jewels Kraft to 3-1/2 x 4-3/4″. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the llama.

I finished the card by adding Nuvo Crystal Drops – Metallic Bright Gold.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added two images I had previously stamped from the same stamp set.

Easy Rainbow Watercolor Background Square Card

Hello friends. Need a quick card for St. Patrick’s Day?!? The watercolor background on this card is super quick to make and there’s no for perfection (which I love) necessary because it should look like paint was dropped on the paper.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4-1/4 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then, using the largest of the scallop squares (4 x 4″) from the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6/PK – Squares, Scallop, I diecut the card base. I left the die about an 1/8″ off the card so that it would leave the top connected.

I cut a piece of Montval Acid-Free Cold Press Watercolor Paper, 140 lb, 18 X 24 in, Natural White to about 4 x 4″ and used the Catherine Pooler ink refills in Party Dress, Tiki Torch, Limoncello, Lime Rickey, Something Borrowed, and Grape Crush to create drips on the panel. I stamped the cat from Newton’s Nook Designs Newton’s Pot of Gold and the shamrocks from Simon Says Stamps WOOLY-LUCKY stampset onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I colored the images with Copic colors. I used N5 & N8 and Y15 & Y17 for the pot of gold; YG17, G07 & G09, N5 & N8 and Y15 & Y17 for Newton’s hat; N1, N2, 0 & R20 for Newton; and YG17, G07 & G09 for the shamrocks.

I stamped the sentiment from the from Newton’s Nook Designs Newton’s Pot of Gold onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then using my MISTI stamped over it with Versamark Ink, heat embossed it with Ranger CLEAR Embossing Powder and cut it to 3/8 x 2-1/2″.

I adhered all the images and sentiment onto the panel and to the card base using 3M Foam Tape.

I left the inside of the card blank.

Creating Easy Distress Backgrounds…(Part 1)

Hello friends. I had some fun playing with my distress inks and other products and created several backgrounds. Sometimes it’s nice just to play with mediums and not think too much. I love distress inks because they create cool effects when water or other mediums are combined with them. I ended up with 6 backgrounds I will later turn into cards. Stay tuned for that post…

For these backgrounds I decided to test out the reaction Distress Oxides and Distress Crayons had with water and also salt plus white vinegar. I also tested Cold Press Watercolor Paper and Strathmore Bristol Smooth Multimedia Paper. I was actually surprised at the reaction of the watercolor paper to the salt and vinegar.

For the first set of backgrounds, I started the process by ink blending on both the Cold Press Watercolor Paper and Strathmore Bristol Smooth Multimedia Paper. I used Kitsch Flamingo, Worn Lipstick, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Inks. I sprayed water onto both panels with the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer, let it sit for a few minutes and pat dry with a paper towel.

I then used Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, and Worn Lipstick Distress Crayons and smeared them with my finger (Tip: Wet your finger a little to smooth). Then sprayed more water again.

Observations: One thing I noticed is that the distress crayons are much harder to move and blend out on the watercolor paper. They require a lot more water then on the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Multimedia Paper. But the colors look more saturated and vibrant on the watercolor paper.

Once all the ink was dry, I mixed some Perfect Copper Perfect Pearls by Ranger with water and randomly added splashed and went around the edges of one of the panels.

Once all dry, I used the Stampers Anonymous – Tim Holtz – Ledger Script Stamp with Ranger Archival JET BLACK Ink to both panels. I used the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Textures Rubber Stampset (retired) with Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks on the watercolor paper panel and stamped using the Tim Holtz® Stampers Anonymous Wildflower Layering Stencils (THS035) with Ranger Archival JET BLACK Ink on the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper panel.

Finished the panels by adding splashes with watered down white Gesso on both and black ink on the watercolor paper panel.

For the second set of backgrounds, I started the process by ink blending on both the Cold Press Watercolor Paper and Strathmore Bristol Smooth Multimedia Paper. I used Scattered Straw, Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed Lawn and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Inks. I sprayed water onto both panels with the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and sprinkled Coarse Salt, let it sit for a few minutes and pat dry with a paper towel and rubbed off the salt. Be very gentle with this because you can tear you paper if it’s still wet.

I then used Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Mustard Seed, and Vintage Photo Distress Crayons and smeared them with my finger (Tip: Wet your finger a little to smooth). I reinked the panels with Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks to brighten them up a bit. Then, added more salt and water to see if it would react again.

Observations: I didn’t see much of a reaction to the salt on either papers. Not sure if I didn’t leave it on a sufficient amount of time or if only the regular distress inks react to the salt. Again, the distress crayons are much harder to move and blend out on the watercolor paper and the colors are more vibrant on the watercolor paper.

Once all the ink was dry, I mixed some Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Pigment Powder by Ranger with water and randomly added splashed and went around the edges of one of the panels.

I used the Kaisercraft Postmarks Background Stamp with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink and Stampin’ Up! Timeless Textures Rubber Stampset (retired) with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink on the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper panel and Stampers Anonymous – Tim Holtz – Ledger Script Stamp with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink and Tim Holtz® Stampers Anonymous Wildflower Layering Stencils (THS035) with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink on the watercolor paper panel.

Finished the panels by adding splashes with watered down white Gesso and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink on both panels.

For the third set of backgrounds, I started the process by ink blending on both the Cold Press Watercolor Paper and Strathmore Bristol Smooth Multimedia Paper. I used Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire, Cracked Pistachio and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Inks. I sprayed water and white vinegar onto both panels with the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and sprinkled Iodized Table Salt (fine grain), let it sit for a few minutes and pat dry with a paper towel and gently rubbed off the salt.

Then I did some ink smooshing with a few of the colors above, added water, white vinegar and salt again and let it sit for a few minutes.

Observations: Again very little reaction to the salt on either papers, But when rubbing off the salt from the watercolor paper panel, some of the areas of the paper pilled and rubbed off. Not a big deal; it just adds to the texture.

Once all the ink was dry, I used some Lindy’s Magical Shakers in Alpine Ice Rose, Magnolia Magenta Gold, and Time Teal Travel with water and added to some areas of the panels.

I used Stampin’ Up! Timeless Textures Rubber Stampset (retired) with Seedless Preserves, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks and the Stampers Anonymous – Tim Holtz – Ledger Script Stamp with Ranger Archival JET BLACK Ink on the watercolor panel. Then, on the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper panel, I used the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Textures Rubber Stampset (retired) and the Kaisercraft Postmarks Background Stamp with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks and the Tim Holtz® Stampers Anonymous Wildflower Layering Stencils (THS035) with Ranger Archival JET BLACK Ink.

Finished the panels by adding splashes with watered down white Gesso and black ink on on both panels.

Elevating Your Dies…with Ink featuring Honey Bee Stamps and Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. Here’s a quick way to add interest and dimension to standalone dies…just use ink. Nothing could be easier, right?!?

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then cut another panel to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. I die cut it from Bazzill Basics 12 x 12 Mono Blue Cardstock with the Honey Bee Stamps A2 Base Coverplate and three from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Top Coverplate. To give the birch trees dimension, I used Speckled Egg Distress Ink for the blue birch trees panel and Salty Ocean Distress Ink for the white ones.

For the background, I used Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans Distress Oxides to create an ombré effect. I also added some sparkle with a Shimmer Pen Before adhering any of the background trees to the card, I stamped images from the Lawn Fawn SCENT WITH LOVE Clear Stamps and Lawn Fawn SCENT WITH LOVE ADD-ON Clear Stamps onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I colored the images with Copic colors. I used R14, 27 & 46 for the red heart balloon and tiny heart trio; C1 & 0, C5 & C7, and R20 for the skunks; RV11 & RV55, R14 & R46, E25 & E29 for the cupcakes; C1 & 0 for the scent trails; C00 & 0, R14 for the envelope; R14, 27 & 46, RV10, RV11 & RV55, E27 & E29 for the heart boxes; R14 & R46 for the tulip and YG25 & 17 for all the stem. I die cut all the images with the coordinating dies.

I nestled some of the images between the two layers of trees before adding to the card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn SCENT WITH LOVE ADD-ON Clear Stamps onto Stampin’ Up! Real Red 8-1/2 x 11” Cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Wow White Embossing Powder and cut it to 3/8 x 2-3/4”.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added two images I had previously stamped from the same stamp set.

Stretching Your Stamps: Valentine’s Day Cards

Hello friends. I came across these two birthday gift stampsets I have from Lawn Fawn while organizing and thought they would be cute on some Valentine’s Day card. These stamp sets are meant for birthdays but why not try to make Valentine’s Day cards instead. It’s time to challenge myself.

I used the Lawn Fawn, Party Pig, which I received as my birthday gift from Lawn Fawn in 2021 but also decide to use the Party Panda stamp set I received in 2020 as well. I combined them with the Giant Be My Valentine sentiment die to create a lovely focal image. Combining this die and some pattern papers helped me create two very quick cards!

For the first card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then cut another panel of Simple Stories – Sweet Talk Collection – 6 x 8 Papers (had some left over from my SSS Feb 2021 Card Kit – Love You Beary) to 4 x 5-1/4″.

I diecut a piece of Stampin’ Up! Real Red 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Lacy Heart Stackables which I embossed it using the Crafters Companion Embossalicious Grand Dots Embossing Folder (retired but I linked a similar one).

I diecut the sentiment from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ (3x) using the Lawn Fawn Giant Be My Valentine Die and stacked them.

I stamped the panda image and cupcake from the Lawn Fawn Party Panda mini stampset (2020 birthday gift with purchase) onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I colored them with Copic markers. Then I used C1 & 0 to add shading to the panda; R81, 83, & 85 for the cupcake, E23 & E29 for the cupcake wrapper, and R17 for the cherry on top of the cupcake. I die cut all the images with the coordinating dies and added some Stampin Dimensionals to the panda before adhering to the card. And added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Mix Cupped Sequins to finish it.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy add-on Stamps with Stampin’ Up! Real Red Ink.

Dimensions

For the second card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then cut another panel of Simple Stories – Sweet Talk Collection – 6 x 8 Papers (had some left over from my SSS Feb 2021 Card Kit – Love You Beary) to 4 x 5-1/4″.

I diecut a piece of Vellum Cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Lacy Heart Stackables which I embossed it using the Crafters Companion Embossalicious Grand Dots Embossing Folder (retired but I linked a similar one).

I diecut the sentiment from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ (2x) and one from Stampin’ Up! Red Foil 12 x 12 Cardstock (retired) using the Lawn Fawn Giant Be My Valentine Die and stacked them together.

I stamped the pig and gift images from the Lawn Fawn Party Pig mini stampset (2021 birthday gift with purchase) onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used RV52, RV55, RV66, C1, C3, C7 & 0 to for the pig; R17 & R27, E29 & E27 for the gift. I die cut all the images with the coordinating dies.

I added some Stampin Dimensionals to the pig before adhering to the card. And added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Mix Cupped Sequins to finish it.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy add-on Stamps with Stampin’ Up! Real Red Ink.

Valentine’s Day Slimline Window Scene Cards

Hi friends. The Lawn Fawn Scent With Love Clear Stamps and Dies is great for scene cards so I decided to make a slimline card. But had so much fun making them I made four instead. 🙂

For these cards, I cut two pieces of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″, one piece of Simon Says Stamp Cardstock 100# COTTON CANDY and one of Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock to 7 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 3-1/2″ to create four card bases. I die cut the scallop slimline panel from two different pattern papers from my stash and two from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″, using the Catherine Pooler Essentials Slimline Die.

On the white panels, I stenciled hearts using the Simon Says Stamp Stencil Tumbling Hearts Stencil with Tim Holtz Distress Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink and on the other panel, clouds using My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil and Mini Cloud Edges Mix-ables Stencil with Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Oxide Ink. I die cut out the windows using the Catherine Pooler Essentials Slimline Die. These dies make it so easy to make a 3 window slimline card.

I added a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to the back of the pattern paper backgrounds and a piece of vellum behind the stenciled panels, cut to 3-1/2 x 8-1/8″. Before adhering stenciled backgrounds to the card, I added the negative pieces of the window to the card. I stenciled some tiny hearts onto the background of the white windows with Hero Arts Heart Confetti Fancy Die (I die cut acetate to create the stencil) and Catherine Pooler Be Mine Ink.

I stamped a bunch of images from the Lawn Fawn SCENT WITH LOVE Clear Stamps and Dies and the Lawn Fawn SCENT WITH LOVE ADD-ON Clear Stamps and Dies onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

The images were colored with Copic colors. I used R14, 27 & 46 for all the red items; R81, 83, & 85 for all the pink items; YG25 & 17 for all the greenery; C1, 5, & 7 and 0 for the skunks; and E74 & 79 for all the chocolate items. I die cut all the images with the coordinating dies.

I finished them all by adding some Tonic Fresh Snowfall Nuvo Glitter Accents.

On the inside of the pink cards, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock to 3 x 8″ and stamped a sentiment and the three hearts from the Lawn Fawn SCENT WITH LOVE ADD-ON Clear Stamps and Dies with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. For the white cards, I just stamped the image directly inside the cards.
