I cut out the window from the circle using the ice cream from Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More die-set. For the background of the shaker window, I inked up a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Party Dress, Whipped Honey, and Stone Blue inks.

I die-cut the rest of the ice cream from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and colored it with the same inks. I used Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Paper Bag Letter Cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages: Birthday 4×5 Stamp Set
onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I finished off the card by adding some starts die-cut from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Metallic Kraft Stock Paper.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of pattern paper from Honey Bee Stamps Let’s Party 6 x 8.5″ Paper to 1-1/4 x 4-1/4″ and 1 x 4-1/4″ and added some more stars.

Cards, Easter, Watercolor techniques

Turning Simon Says Stamp Suzy’s Watercolor Prints Into Scene Cards

Hello friends. I made these two cute Easter cards using the Simon Says Stamp Suzy’s Watercolor Prints. The prints I used are from an older set but I will link to the newer one that was released this year. I created cute scene cards by using them in a non traditional way.I love to just sit and watercolor these prints! It’s very relaxing and fun to me. If watercolor isn’t your thing you can probably use color pencils to color the images.

For the first card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base.

I used my Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI Watercolor Paint Set (I love this set!) to color the images. Then cut all the background white areas out and used one of the Egg framelits from Sizzix Framelits Die Set 10PK – Egg (discontinued) to cut out the watercolor print, making sure to not cut his ears. I die cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Stripes ‘n Sprinkles 6×6 Paper with the same framelit for the background.

I die cut grass from Simon Says Stamp Cardstock 100lb Green Apple Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Simple Grassy Hillsides. I die cut two pieces of varying heights but 4-1/4″ in width and popped up the front one with 3M Foam Tape.

For the sentiment I used the Simon Says Stamp EASTER WISHES Sentiment Strips.

I left the inside of the card blank.

Dimensions

For the second card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and a piece of Echo Park I Love Easter 12 x 12 Pattern Paper (discontinued) to 4 x 5-1/4″. I die cut a window from the panel using the Egg framelits from Sizzix Framelits Die Set 10PK – Egg (discontinued). I also used 2 of them to cut out a frame from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″.

Once again, I used my Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI Watercolor Paint Set to color the images. I then placed the panel behind the window panel.

I stamped a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Eggstraordinary Easter onto the panel with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink.

I finished off the card by adding some highlights with a Uni-ball Signo White Broad Point Gel Pen and some Tonic IVORY SEASHELL Nuvo Crystal Drops.

On the inside of the card, I cut two strips of the pattern paper from Echo Park I Love Easter 12 x 12 Pattern Paper (discontinued), measuring 1 x 4-1/4″ and 1-1/4 x 4-1/4″.

Dimensions

  • Card Base = 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″
  • Top Panel = 4 x 5-1/4″ Echo Park I Love Easter 12 x 12 Pattern Paper (discontinued)

Cards, Easter, Spring, Window Cards

Easter Window Scene Card featuring Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. Here’s another way to use the Lawn Fawn Window Scene: Spring Stampset if you don’t have a window die. I combined it with the Lawn Fawn Secret Garden Window Dies to create a cute dimensional window scene. Check out the Lawn Fawn website for even more ideas!

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base, and another piece to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. I embossed this panel with the Darice Embossing Essentials Folder 1218-66 Basket Weave (discontinued). I colored the panel with Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Inks.

I stamped the window scene from Lawn Fawn Window Scene: Spring Stampset onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I also stamped some images from the Lawn Fawn Eggstraordinary Easter and Lawn Fawn Eggstraordinary Easter Add-On Stampsets. Then colored the images with Copic Markers. I used Y13 & Y17, R20, YR04 & YR09 for the chicks; C0, C1, R20 & 0 for the bunny; YR04, YR09, YG25 & YG67 for the carrots; Y17, RV55, BG000, YR04 & YR09, V22 & V28 & BG02 for the butterflies; YG25, YG67 & G28, E27 & E49 for the trees and grass; Y13 & Y17 for the sun; Y17 for the flower centers; RV000, RV52 & RV5, YR04 & YR09, Y13 & Y18, and BG000 & BG02 for the tiny eggs; RV000 & RV52 for the large egg.

I die cut the window from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Lawn Fawn Secret Garden Window Dies. I cut two pieces; the first piece I colored with Copics and the second I left white and cut off the flowers and leaves to create a border. I used 3M Foam Tape to pop up the window.

I added a sentiment using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips Easter Wishes. I popped it up using 3M Foam Tape. I finished off the card by adding some highlights with a White Gel Pen.

On the inside of the card, I added another sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips Easter Wishes and added a chick and flower.

Cards, Emboss Resist Technique, Spring

Emboss Resist Background Spring Card featuring Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. Here’s another cute card featuring the Lawn Fawn Giant Easter Messages. For this one I created a bright background using the emboss resist technique with Distress Oxides. I also watercolored the center panel for a softer look.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base, another piece to 4 x 5-1/4.

For the background, I stamped the tiny images from the Lawn Fawn Giant Easter Messages using Lawn Fawn YETI Pigment Ink and heat embossed it using WOW OPAQUE BRIGHT WHITE Super Fine Embossing Powder. Then used Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Inks.

Next, I stamped the sentiment panel 2x from the Lawn Fawn Giant Easter Messages onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink and then poured Ranger Clear Embossing Powder overtop and heat set it. The second piece I will fussycut and pop up with 3M Foam Tape later.

I colored the panel with my Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI Watercolors. Heat embossing the image first makes it easier for the watercolors to stay in place and not bleed. Then I die cut the sentiment with Stampin’ Up! Layering Ovals Dies (retired). As previously mentioned I also fussycut the second sentiment panel that I had stamped and heat embossed and popped it up with 3M Foam Tape.

I stamped the tiny images from the same stampset as well as some from the Lawn Fawn Eggstraordinary Easter onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I colored them with Copic Markers. I used C0, C1, R20 & 0 for the bunnies; Y11, Y13 & Y18, R20, YR07 for the chics; RV52, RV19 & RV55, Y13 & Y18, V22, V25 & BV17 for the flowers; YG06 & YG67, and YR07 & YR04 for the carrots; RV52, RV19 & RV55, Y13 & Y18, V22, V25 & BV17, and YR07 & YR04 for the butterflies.

I left the inside of the card blank.
