3 Cards featuring the Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Splendor Suite

Need some quick last minute cards??? These pretty snowflake cards were all created using the Snowflake Splendor Suite from Stampin’ Up! and came together quickly. This suite can be found on page 37 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog; it features lots of beautiful papers in shades of blues, aquas and purples.

For the first card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper to 4 x 5-1/4″ for the top panel which I adhered to the card base. Next I diecut a window using the Stampin’ Up! So Many Snowflakes Dies from Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, measuring 2-7/8 x 4-9/16 and another piece from Balmy Blue 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

I adhered the two panels together and stamped a sentiment from Christmas Means More onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Misty Moonlight Ink. I trimmed it down, added Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the window panel, adhered the sentiment piece behind the window and the piece to the card on an angle. I diecut snowflakes from Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock and Misty Moonlight 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock using the dies in the Stampin’ Up! So Many Snowflakes Die. I finished it off by adding some Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and some Snowflake Splendor 1/4″ Ribbon from the suite.

Stampin’ Up!’s Fireside Trimming stampset

Hi friends. I have one last Fall card and of course another Christmas card. Now I know Fall is over for most of us even though the calendar says it doesnโ€™t end until December 21st but I wanted to show the possibilities with this stamp set. Stampin’ Up!’s Fireside Trimming stampset is good for Fall, Halloween, Christmas and many other occasions. This stampset can be found on page 20 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog. It also coordinates with the Fireside Dies.

For the first card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Guilded Autumn 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ for the top panel and adhered it to the card base. I also cut a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4″ and used Mint Macaron Ink to create a gradient background. I spritzed some water on the panel, dried it and adhered it to the card.

I stamped the fireplace from Stampin’ Up!’s Fireside Trimming stampset with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of pattern paper from Guilded Autumn 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to add depth to the inside areas, fussycut it out (you can use the coordinating dies but I don’t have them yet) and adhered it to the card.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock and colored them using Stampin Blends and Copic markers. I used Pumpkin Pie Light & Dark and Granny Apple Green Light & Dark for the pumpkins; Cajun Craze Light & Dark, Granny Apple Green Light & Dark, Real Red Light & Dark for the leaves in the vase; Copic BG10 & BG11 for the vase; and E27 & E29 for the wood piles. I fussycut out all the images and adhered to the card. I popped up the pumpkins with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also stamped the lantern onto a piece of Gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock with Tsukineko Stazon Jet Black Ink, cut out the window and adhered a piece of Vellum behind it.

I stamped the sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s Beautiful Autumn stampset with Early Espresso Ink onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock and diecut it to 1-9/16 x 2-1/2″ with the Layering Ovals Dies and a scallop oval from Gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock, measuring 1-3/4 x 2-11/16″. I adhered the ovals and added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back before adhering to the card.

I left the inside of the card blank.

For the second card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6″ X 6″ Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ for the top panel. I cut another piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4″.

I stamped the fireplace from Stampin’ Up!’s Fireside Trimming stampset with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto the panel, and all the images onto another piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock. I also stamped several holly from the Christmas Means More Stampset. On this card I colored everything with Copic Markers. I used YG05 & G07 for the trees and holly leaves, R17 & R29 for the holly berries, E25 & E27 for the tree bases and reindeer, E29 for the tree trunks, E25, E27 & E29 for the wood logs, Y11, Y18 & Y23 for the lantern and clock) and N1, N2, N5 & ) for the fireplace. Christmas, Holidays 2020, Stampin' Up!

Creating Two Different Backgrounds Using Stampin’ Up!’s Tree Angle Stampset

These two card backgrounds were created using the stamps in the Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up which can be found on page 22 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog. You can make lots of quick backgrounds with these stamps. This stampset coordinates with the Stitched Triangles Dies (pg 179 of the Annual Catalog).

For the first card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-3/4 x 5″ for the top panel.

I stamped the poinsettia and leaf tree patterns all over the background from the Tree Angle Stampset onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Stampin’ Up! Real Red and Old Olive Inks and adhered the panel to the card base.

I die cut a 3″ scalloped square from Stampin’ Up!’s 8-1/2″ X 11″ Vellum Cardstock using the Stampin’ Up! Layering Squares Dies and the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from Red Foil using the Word Wishes Dies and adhered them to the card with Tombow Mono Multi Glue. I also cut two strips of the Red Foil, measuring 1/4 x 5″ and 1/16 x 5″ and adhered them to the card panel. I finished it off by adding three adhesive Pearls (retired) on each side.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Tree Angle Stampset with Stampin’ Up! Real Red Ink.

Dimensions

For the second card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Stampin’ Up!’s Garden Green 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4″ for the top panel.

I stamped all the tree patterns except the poinsettias from the Tree Angle Stampset onto all over the Garden Green panel with Stampin’ Up! Garden Green Ink, creating a geometric pattern and adhered the panel to the card base.

I stamped three of the trees from the Tree Angle Stampset ontoa piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade and Blushing Bride for the trees, and Soft Suede Ink for the tree stumps. I used Versamark Ink and Gold Emboss Powder to stamp and heat emboss the star as well as the sentiment from stampset. I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the red tree and star.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the Tree Angle Stampset with Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade Ink and some of the trees with Blushing Bride and Garden Green Inks. And that completes this card.

Halloween, Stampin' Up!

Combining Pattern Paper and Dies to Create Faux Embossed Background โ€“ Halloween Cards

The flower die in the Halloween Magic Dies included in Stampin’ Up!’s Magic in This Night Suite reminds me of images you would see for the Dia de Los Muertos celebrations or a black rose found in a spooky haunted mansion. I decided to have some fun with it and create an โ€œembossedโ€ background. This suite can be found in the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog on page 52.

I started by cutting a piece of Basic Black 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and two pieces of Magic in the Night 12 x 12 Designer Series to 4 x 5-1/4″ and 3-3/4 x 5 and adhered them to the card base. I chose an orange pattern and a black and gray harlequin pattern. I diecut many flowers and leaves from Basic Black 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and adhered them to the top panel.

I stamped the label border from the Hallows Night Magic Stampset with Cajun Craze Ink and a sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and die cut them with the coordinating dies from the Halloween Magic Dies. I diecut two flowers from Magic in the Night 12 x 12 Designer Series and inlaid them into an outline of the flower and adhered it to the label. I added some Stampinโ€™ Dimensionals to the back of the label and added it to the card.

On the inside of this card, I cut a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4โ€ and added two pieces of Magic in the Night 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, measuring 1 x 5-1/2โ€ and 1-1/4 x 5-1/2โ€. I stamped a sentiment from the Hallows Night Magic Stampset with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and added another flower.

Halloween, Stampin' Up!

Using Metallic Mesh Ribbon to Create Halloween Card Background

The Stampin’ Up!’s Magic in This Night Suite has this very cool looking Metallic Mesh Ribbon. I wasn’t sure how to use it at first but then started playing with it to see how it reacted to stretching etc and my brain immediately saw a web! It also adds some sparkle to your card because it glistens in the light. It’s just Stunning! This suite can be found in the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog on page 52.

For my first card I used the ribbon as a background. I cut a piece of Basic Black 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and one piece to 4 x 5-1/4″ for the top panel. I added some Tear & Tape Adhesive to the top and bottom of the back of the panel and wrapped the Metallic Mesh Ribbon around it. Then added more tape to the rest of the card to adhere it to the card base.

I used the border die from the Halloween Magic Dies to cut a border from the Magic in the Night 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. I die it two so it was long enough. I also cut a piece of 8-1/2 x 11โ€ Vellum Cardstock with the label die for the same dieset and โ€˜Happy Halloweenโ€™ with the Word Wishes Dies from Black Glitter Paper.

I stamped three spiders from the Hallows Night Magic Stampset with Cajun Craze Ink onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and die cut them with the coordinating dies from the Halloween Magic Dies. I adhered all the diecuts and images to the card and finished by adding some of the Iridescent Pearls.

On the inside of this card, again I cut a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4โ€ and stamped a sentiment from the Hallows Night Magic Stampset with Cajun Craze Ink and spiders with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Dimensions

For my second card, I cut a piece of Basic Black 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and one piece to 4 x 5-1/4″ for the top panel. I added some Tear & Tape Adhesive to the top and bottom of the back of the panel and wrapped a piece of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon around it.

Again I diecut a border using the border die from the Halloween Magic Dies to cut a border from the Magic in the Night 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the card panel. I added some Black Twine (from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit) and adhered the card panel to the card base. I also cut a piece of 8-1/2 x 11โ€ Vellum Cardstock with the label die for the same dieset and โ€˜Happy Halloweenโ€™ with the Word Wishes Dies from Black Glitter Paper.

I stamped two bats from the Hallows Night Magic Stampset with Blackberry Bliss Ink onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and die cut them with the coordinating dies from the Halloween Magic Dies. I adhered all the diecuts and images to the card and finished by adding some of the Iridescent Pearls.

On the inside of this card, again I cut a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4โ€ and stamped a sentiment from the Hallows Night Magic Stampset with Blackberry Bliss Ink and bats with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Quick Christmas Cards featuring Word Wishes Dies by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

One tiny stamp, pattern paper and a sentiment die is all it takes to make these cards. Canโ€™t get any easier, right?!?. They are found in the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. This set of cards is good for last minute Christmas cards.

Both cards were created the same way, but just by changing the paper and ink colors you can achieve different looks. I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (Melon Mambo for the first and Crumb Cake for the second) to 2-1/4 x 4-1/4โ€. I then cut a strip of plain card stock, measuring 1/8 x 4-1/4โ€ ( I used Basic Gray for the first card and Melon Mambo for the second card).

Before adhering the papers to the card base, I used my Stamparatus to stamp a border using the trio ornament stamp from the Tree Angle Stampset. I used Basic Gray Ink for the first card and Melon Mambo Ink for the second.

I adhered the papers to the card and then die cut a sentiment with the Word Wishes Dies from Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and Melon Mambo Cardstock. I diecut three of each and stacked them and adhered them to the card. This gave a nice dimensional look. I finished it off by adding some sparkle with a Wink if Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.

On the inside of the card, I added a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 1/2 x 4-1/4″ and stamped a sentiment and the ornaments from the Tree Angle Stampset (I used Melon Mambo Ink and Basic Gray Ink on the first card and Crumb Cake Ink and Melon Mambo Ink on the second one).

Christmas, Christmas, Holidays 2020, Stampin' Up!

Easy Christmas Card with Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up! (from the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog)

Here is a quick card that can be easily mass produced for the holidays! I used the Tree Angle Stampset by Stampin’ Up which can be found on page 22 of the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog which has a ton of awesome goodies for the holidays. This stampset coordinates with the Stitched Triangles Dies (pg 179 of the Annual Catalog).

I started this card by cutting a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to make a card base. Then cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″, which I adhered directly to the card base and a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock to 3-3/8 x 4-5/8″.

I stamped the tree and star topper from the Tree Angle Stampset onto Whisper White 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock with Granny Apple Green and Basic Gray and fussycut it out.

I figured out where my tree was going to sit and stamped a sentiment below that from the Tree Angle Stampset with Basic Gray. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to teh back of the tree and added it to the white card panel. I added some Silver Twine from my stash and adhered the panel to the card.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added cut a piece of Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, measuring 3/4 x 4-1/4″.
