Pop Up Baby Shower Cards feat. Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade

Hello friends. I couldn’t resist making a baby pop up card with the Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade stamps after seeing the one Mona from the Lawn Fawn design team made (Baby themed pop-up box card with Mona). It was so damn cute!

Granted these pop up cards take a very long time to make so I made two! LOL. Actually I originally made this card for my mom to take to a baby shower but wanted to share it with you all and I just had to make a “masculine” and “feminine” card. Obviously you can make this in the color scheme the parents choose or go with a gender neutral color if you don’t know their colors.

For this card, I die cut the bases from I die cut the sentiment panel from Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Kraft 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop Up Dies. For the outside pattern panels I used Pebbles 12 x 12 Special Delivery (discontinued) and Echo Park IT’S A GIRL 6 x 6 Mega Paper Pad. I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 2-3/4 x 3-3/4″ for the larger outside panel which creates a space for your message.

For the grassy areas I used Simon Says Stamp 100# GREEN APPLE 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock and the Lawn Fawn Simple Grassy Hillsides Dies. The flowers were die cut using Lawn Fawn Straight Flower Border from Lawn Fawn Single-Sided Petite Paper 6″X6″ Perfectly Plaid Remix (discontinued?) and Simon Says Stamp 100# GREEN APPLE 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock. The banner on the front panel was die cut from Pebbles 12 x 12 Special Delivery (discontinued) and Echo Park IT’S A GIRL 6 x 6 Mega Paper Pad using the Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banners Dies.

I stamped all the images for both cards from the Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade, Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade Add-on and Lawn Fawn Hello Baby (discontinued) Stampsets onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento TUXEDO BLACK Ink and colored with Copic Markers.

I used C00 & C3, R20 & R30 for the elephants; C00 & C3, R20 for the mice; and BG000, Y000, & R000 (blue card) and BG10, Y000 & R000 (pink card) for the bubbles; Y00 & E55 for the peanuts; BG000 & 0, B32 & B37, Y02 & Y15, BG11 & BG34 (blue card) and BG10 & 0, G12 & G82, Y000 & Y02, R00 & R20 (pink card) for the bottles; BG11 & BG10 (blue card) and R000 & R00 (pink card) for the banners; Y00, Y02 & Y15 for the crown; G12 & G82 for the bow; Y000, Y00, & Y02 for the balloons; and Y000, Y02 & Y15, B32 & B37 (blue card) and R00 & R20, Y000 & Y02, G12 & G82 (pink card) for the rattles.

All images were die cut using the coordinating dies.

These cards fold flat to fit into a regular A2 envelope. My balloons go outside the box top so I made a custom envelope to fit it better.

Pop Up St. Patrick’s Day Scene Card

Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome!

Hello friends. Today I’m bringing you a cute pop up scene card featuring Lawn Fawn’s Oh Gnome! Stampset and Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Pop-Up Die. This is fun die that can elevate any card for every occasion.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4-1/4 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then, die cut three of the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop: Landscape with Stampin’ Up! Soft Suede 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the branches and Lawn Fawn 6×6 Perfectly Plaid Spring Petite Paper Pack (I believe this is no longer available but any pattern paper will work) for the tree top/leaves. I also cut two hillsides using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Pop-Up Die from Stampin’ Up! Old Olive 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock. For the tree on the inside for the card, I cut off the border and for the hillside on the front I used just the larger protion of the pop up piece.

For the sky on the outside of the card, I cut a piece of some random Lawn Fawn Paper Paper I had in my stash (it either came in a Simon Says Stamp kit or sent with a Lawn Fawn order) to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. For the inside, I used Lawn Fawn 6×6 Perfectly Plaid Spring Petite Paper Pack cut to the same size. If you need a tutorial on how to assemble the Pop Up Card mechanism, please watch this Lawn Fawn video.

I diecut the mushroom house from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Lawn Cuts Custom Craft Die-mushroom House and colored it with Copic Markers. I used RV000 & 0 and R81 & R83 for the roof; E25, E27 & E49 for the house; YG25, YG17 & G07 for the door and window; N4 & N7 for the chimney; Y13 & Y06 for the keyhole and window backs; and V01 & V04 for the butterflies. I also added some embellishments with a black marker and a white gel pen.

I stamped all the images I needed from the Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome! Stampset and the shamrocks from the Simon Says Stamps WOOLY-LUCKY stampset onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and die cut using the coordinating dies.

I used YG17 & G07 for the shamrocks; E57 & E29, R81, R83, & R85, RV00, RV10 & RV11 for the mushrooms; N4, N5 & N7 for the cart. For the gnomes I used E00, E01 & R20 for the faces; C00, C1 & 0 for mustaches and beards; R14 & R27, R81 & R83, Y06 (belt buckle), and N4 & N7 (shoes and belt) for the red gnome; YR04 &YR09, YR12 & YR04, E23 & E25 (hair), and N1 & 0 (apron) for the orange gnome; Y13 & Y18, Y11 & Y02, Y06 (belt buckle), and N4 & N7 (shoes and belt) for the yellow gnome; G07 & G09, YG25 & YG17, E23 & E25 (hair), C1& 0 (apron), and N7 (shoes) for the green gnome; BG01 & BG05, BG10, BG15 & BG32, Y13 (belt buckle), and N4 & N7 (shoes an00 & BVd belt) for the aqua gnome; B24 & B26, B12 & B14, Y13 (belt buckle), and N4 & N7 (shoes and belt) for the blue gnome; YG25 & YG17, Y18 for the tiny daisy patch; YG25 & YG17, Y13 & Y18, C5 & C7 for the large daisy; and YG25 & YG17, V01 & V04 for the tulip and bud.

I stamped the sentiment from the from Lawn Fawn HATS OFF TO YOU Clear Stamps with Catherine Pooler Pixie Dust Ink on the inside of the card.

Cute Interactive Pop Up Cards

Hello friends. I’m back with two adorable pop up cards created using the Lawn Fawn STITCHED HILLSIDE POP UP Lawn Cuts Dies. Currently this is in the lead for my favorite interactive die! I seriously just want to make everything a pop up card now!!! LOL it can be a little fiddly if you don’t adhere the inside tabs properly but it’s still tons of fun to create with this die.

Oh Gnomes! Happy Birthday

I created a little scene using the Lawn Fawn LEAFY TREE BACKDROP LANDSCAPE Lawn Cuts Dies, Lawn Fawn Mushroom House Die Cuts , Lawn Fawn Mushroom Border Die,
and the little girl gnome from Lawn Fawn’s Set Oh Gnome!. I’m loving all the mushroom dies, especially that mushroom house. I mean, look how cute it is. Adorable! Using mostly dies to create this card also made it come together a lot faster than expected. I cut off the border on the Leafy Tree Backdrop Die so the tree appears much taller than the little gnome. I also took apart the mushroom border and used the individual mushrooms scattered around both scenes. You don’t have to use the border dies as is. Don’t be afraid to cut apart your border die-cuts or any die-cuts (not the dies themselves however) for that matter. I used the My Favorite Things CLOUD Mix-ables Stencil to create the sky with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass.

I continued the scene on the inside of the card using the same dies and stamps again. I used the Lawn Fawn STITCHED HILLSIDE POP UP Lawn Cuts Dies to create the pop-up mechanism. For the forest in the background I used the whole tree die but cut them down to look larger than the gnomes again. And I repeated the same technique I used on the front of the card for the inside sky.

The greeting was from the Lawn Fawn HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY Clear Stamps. I finished off the card with some white accents using my Uni-Ball Signo Broad Point White Gel Pen and added some sparkle to the windows on both the front and inside of the card using my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Fine Glitter Brush Pen .

And because I can’t get enough of the Lawn Fawn STITCHED HILLSIDE POP UP Lawn Cuts Dies, I used it again to create a second card. Again using Lawn Fawn products (cuz I’m addicted and I ain’t afraid to admit it. LOL), I made a scene on the front of the card. This time I combined Lawn Fawn VILLAGE SHOPS, and Lawn Fawn HAPPY VILLAGE stampsets.

The first scene features images from the Lawn Fawn HAPPY VILLAGE stampset and a greeting from the Lawn Fawn VILLAGE SHOPS. I used the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Spring 6×6 inch Petite Paper Pack for the sky and the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6×6 inch Petite Paper Pack for the grass. I cut out the grass using the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders Die and ink blended some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Mowed Lawn to the mute the grass.

Using pattern paper is a great way to build a scene. It makes for a quick and easy background but it doesn’t have to look flat. You can add depth to it by simply using ink or alcohol markers to add some color to it. One note however, if you choose to use markers make sure they are blendable or it will look streaky. So water-based markers will probably not work because they don’t move on the paper.

On the inside I again used the Lawn Fawn STITCHED HILLSIDE POP UP Lawn Cuts Dies with the same pattern papers as the front, again applying some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Mowed Lawn to darken the bottoms edges of the hillsides and give them dimension.

The inside scene features images from the Lawn Fawn VILLAGE SHOPS Clear Stamps as well as a greeting from the same stampset.

Before I glued the images to the inside of the card, I added highlights with my Uni-Ball Signo Broad Point White Gel Pen. I also added the rest of the sentiment inside the cards.
