Halloween Easel Card featuring Honey Bee Stamps

Hi friends. It’s time to start making Halloween cards. Never too early in my opinion! Today I’ve made an easel card using the House Builder Card Base Dies from Honey Bee Stamps!!! These dies are one of my most used ideas. I’ve made lots of cards with these dies and I continue to be inspired to make more… Unfortunately these dies are discontinued but if you have them I encourage you to take them out and use them!

For the first card, I started by cutting a piece of Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock to 10 x 7″ and scoring at 5″ to create the card base. I also scored one side in half to create the easel card. I cut two pieces of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 2.25″ x 6-3/4″. Then I used Distress Oxides to create a night sky. I used Tim Holtz Salty Ocean, Villanous Poison, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks. Then sprayed some water to let it react and get some cool variations.

I diecut the house and the chimney from Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock using the House Builder Card Dies (discontinued), and the roof from Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock using the Honey Bee Stamps Haunted House Add-on (discontinued). I cut the fence, wood and door gable from the same cardstock as well, the ghosts from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″, tombstones from Simon Says Stamp 100lb Fog Gray Cardstock, the bats were cut from both Simon Says Stamp 100# Black Cardstock as well as Honey Bee Stamps Halloween Harvest 6 x 6 paper (discontinued).

The shutters and pumpkins were cut from the same paper as well. I used ink to give all the images a distress look. I used Lawn Fawn YETI Pigment Ink for the black cardstock, Catherine Pooler Designs Pebbles Ink for the grays, and Catherine Pooler Designs Queen For a Day Ink for the purple items. For the windows, I cut pieces of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and then used Tim Holtz Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides Ink to make them glow. I adhered the house only to the bottom half of the front panel. This way when you fold it the house pops up.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest, 80lb Solar White to 4-3/4 x 6-3/4″. Then stamped the web from Simply Made Crafts Haunting Sentiments Stamp & Die Set with Catherine Pooler Designs Queen For a Day Ink. then stamped a sentiment with Catherine Pooler Designs Ginger Ink onto Neenah Classic Crest, 80lb Solar White, die cut with the coordinating dies and rounded the corners. I cut two pieces of Honey Bee Stamps Halloween Harvest 6 x 6 paper (discontinued) and stacked them up to create the “stopper” for the card when folded. I also added some more ghosts etc.

Birthday Gnome Card featuring Trinity Stamps and Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends. To round off my birthday card series, I decided to make another card with the Springtime Gnome die set from Trinity Stamps! I combined it with the Honey Bee Stamps Birthday Tag Die set.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create an A2 card base, and another piece of Honey Bee Stamps Let’s Party 6 x 8.5″ Paper cut to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. I also cut a piece of vellum to 3-3/4 x 5″.
I die cut the gnome using the Trinity Stamps Springtime Gnome. I used Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ for the beard, face, nose and hands, Honey Bee Stamps Giddy For Gingham 6 x 8.5″ Paper Pad for the hat, as well as Tim Holtz Metallic Idea-ology 8 x 8 Metallic Kraft Stock Paper. I cut his shoes as well as the balloons and banners from Tim Holtz Metallic Idea-ology 8 x 8 Metallic Jewels Kraft Stock Paper.

I colored his face and nose with Copic Markers. I used R20, E0000 and E00. And B32 and B34 for his hands.

I stamped the sentiment from Mini Messages: Birthday 4×5 Stamp Set onto some Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used the coordinating dies to cut it out.

On the inside of the card, I added a strip of pattern paper from Honey Bee Stamps Let’s Party 6 x 8.5″ Paper which I cut to 1-1/4 x 4-1/4″ and added a die cut word from Catherine Pooler Celebrate Die (retired) cut from the same paper pad as well as Simon Says Stamp 100lb Black Cardstock.

Springtime Gnome Card featuring Trinity Stamps and Lawn Fawn

Hello friends. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make another card with this gnome die set from Trinity Stamps, Springtime Gnome! I’m thinking Christmas gnomes or maybe turn him into a witchy gnome!!! Stay tuned and find out.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create an A2 card base, and another piece I die cut using the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop: Portrait.

I embossed the tree trunk with the Darice 5 x 7″ Woodgrain Embossing Folder Background and then colored it with Ranger Ink/Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Oxides Inks. I embossed the leaf part with a tiny 6 x 6 polka dot embossing folder from Queen and Company (discontinued). I colored the leaves with Ranger Ink/Tim Holtz Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxides Inks.

I die cut the grass from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Lawn Fawn Simple Grassy Hillsides and colored them with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides Inks. For the sky I cut a panel of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. Using the My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Edges – Mix-ables Stencils and Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides Inks, I created the sky.

I die cut the gnome and the flowerpot from the Springtime Gnome Die Set out of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″. I used Sizzix Argyle Embossing Folder on the gnome’s hat and used Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides Inks.

I used Spun Sugar, Tea Dye, and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks for the face and nose; Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides Ink for the hands; Black Soot Distress Ink; Vintage Photo Distress Oxides Ink and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink for the pots; and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, Worn Lipstick, I used Spun Sugar, Tea Dye, and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks for the face and nose; Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides Ink for the hands; Black Soot Distress Ink; Vintage Photo Distress Oxides Ink and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink for the pots; and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Inks for the flowers.

I stamped a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Window Scene: Spring onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I finished off the card by adding some Nuvo Drop in Ivory Seashell to the flowers.

I left the inside of the card blank.

Birthday Cards: Ice Cream Shaker Card feat. Honeybee Stamps Lovely Layers Cupcakes

Hello friends. Here’s another quick and easy birthday card using the Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More die set from Honeybee Stamps. For this one I created a shaker card using the ice cream dies.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base and another piece of Honey Bee Stamps Let’s Party 6 x 8.5″ Paper to 4 x 5-1/4″.

For the shaker window, I die-cut a [x”] circle from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Sizzix Framelits Circles Die Set. I cut out the window from the circle using the ice cream from Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More die-set. For the background of the shaker window, I inked up a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Party Dress, Whipped Honey, and Stone Blue inks.

I die-cut the rest of the ice cream from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and colored it with the same inks. I used Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Paper Bag Letter Cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages: Birthday 4×5 Stamp Set
onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I finished off the card by adding some starts die-cut from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 Metallic Kraft Stock Paper.

On the inside of the card, I cut a piece of pattern paper from Honey Bee Stamps Let’s Party 6 x 8.5″ Paper to 1-1/4 x 4-1/4″ and 1 x 4-1/4″ and added some more stars.

Shop Your Stash: Mini Slimline Coffee-Themed Birthday Card feat. Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello friends. Here’s a quick and easy coffee-themed birthday card using older stamp sets from my stash. I love the modern graphic style of this coffee set!

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 7” x 6” and scored at 3-1/2″. I also cut a piece to 3-1/4 x 5-3/4″, and another piece to 1 x 5-3/4″.

For the background piece, I stamped the smaller images from the Catherine Pooler Designs Perfect Blend Stampset (discontinued) with Catherine Pooler Sand Castle Ink and then I used the direct-to-paper technique with S’mores Ink to color the strip.

I stamped the espresso maker from Catherine Pooler Designs Perfect Blend Stampset (discontinued) onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Rockin’ Red, Pebble, and Oh Boy! inks. I popped them up using Foam Tape.

I stamped the sentiment from the Catherine Pooler Designs Perfect Blend Stampset (discontinued) and Sugar Pea Designs Espresso Yourself Stampset onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with S’mores Ink and Cranberry Fizz and fussy cut it out.

I left the inside of the card blank and added a S’mores-colored espresso maker.

Shop Your Stash: Mother’s Day Card feat. Trinity Stamps and Queen and Company

Hello friends. I realize this is kinda late but I still wanted to share this cute Mother’s Day card using the Trinity Stamps Tiny Teacup dies. I combined it was some older stamps and dies from Queen & Company as well as Catherine Pooler dies.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base and another piece to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. I stenciled the background using the Catherine Pooler Designs Cookie Sheet Die (included in the Baking Spirits Bright Card Kit) and Matcha Ink.

I die-cut the teacup from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with the Trinity Stamps Tiny Teacup dies. I used Cummerbund Ink for the cup and Over Coffee Ink for the coffee portion.

I die-cut the lacy border from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Morning Joe Border dies (discontinued).

I stamped the flowers from Queen & Company Love Jar Kit onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Matcha, Sage, Do-Si-Do, and Royal Treatment and Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink Inks and fussy cut the images.

For the sentiment I die-cut both the sentiment and shadow from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ using the Queen & Company Sentiment Stacker Dies #1. I colored the shadow using Over Coffee Ink.

On the inside of the card, I added a die-cut sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Word Wishes dies (retired). I cut it from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and colored it using Do-Si-Do Ink.

Shop Your Stash: Flat Shaker Using Older Stamps feat. Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello friends. Continuing on my quest to make birthday cards and give new life to some older supplies, I made this flat shaker. I pulled out some older Catherine Pooler Designs stampsets for this one and combined it with some modern elements like the flat shaker to create a fun interactive card!

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base and another piece to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.

I stamped one of the graphic images from the Catherine Pooler Designs Perfect Blend Stampset (discontinued) with Catherine Pooler Designs Sand Castle Ink and then ink blended the background to create a gradient with Catherine Pooler Designs Sand Castle Ink and Catherine Pooler Designs Over Coffee Ink.

I adhered the panel to one of the Trinity Stamps A-2 Card Flat Acetate Shaker Pouches. You must adhere three sides first, add your sequins then seal the fourth side. I used Honey Bee Stamps Freshly Brewed Sequin Mix, as well as some aqua and yellow ones from my stash.

I stamped the coffee cup, graphic image, and beans from Catherine Pooler Designs Perfect Blend Stampset (discontinued) onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Catherine Pooler Designs Hot Tub and Over Coffee Inks. I stamped the diagonal stripe piece from Catherine Pooler Designs For Everything Stampset (discontinued) with CP Sauna Ink.

I cut out a circle from Vellum using the Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Dies. And stamped a sentiment onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ from Catherine Pooler Designs For Everything Stampset (discontinued) and Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages: Birthday Stampsets and fussycut around it. I used some Foam Tape to pop up the coffee cup and some of the beans.

I left the inside of the card blank and added the same diagonal stripe piece from Catherine Pooler Designs For Everything Stampset (discontinued) which I stamped with Catherine Pooler Designs Hot Tub Ink. I also added some beans.

Hello friends. I couldn’t resist making a rainbow card using the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More set. The cupcakes look so cute in rainbow colors! And it was really easy to make as well!!! Let’s see how I made this card.

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 7 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 3-1/2″ to create a slimline card base. I die cut a piece of pattern paper from the Honey Bee Stamps Let’s Party 6 x 8.5 Paper Pad using the Lawn Fawn Large Slimline with Sliders measuring 3-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and another one the HBS Happy Hearts 6 x 8.5″ Paper Pad to 1-1/2 x 8-1/2″.

I die cut the cupcake from Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock, the liners from Honey Bee Stamps Let’s Party 6 x 8.5 Paper Pad, HBS Giddy For Gingham 6 x 8.5″ Paper Pad, Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 METALLIC KRAFT STOCK Paper, and Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8 METALLIC JEWELS KRAFT STOCK Paper. The frosting was cut from Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and 12 x 12 Silver Glitter Cardstock. The sprinkles were cut from DCWV Single-Sided Brights Mat Stack 4.5 x 6.5″ and Stampin’ Up! Garden Green 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from Mini Messages: Birthday 4×5 Stamp Set onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and die cut with the Honey Cuts Mini Messages Banners.

On the inside of the card I cut two strips of the same pattern paper from the front panel to 1 x 8-1/2″ and 7/8 x 8-1/2″. Then added some more of the star sprinkles.

Birthday Cards: A Very Simple Shaker Card featuring Trinity Stamps

Hello friends. Here is a very easy and quick shaker Birthday card featuring Trinity Stamps new Circle Shaped Card Die Set as well as the A-GLAZE-ing 4×8 Stamp Set. I love how all fun sparkly shaker bits look inside this card!

For this card, I die cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Paper Bag 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock using the Circle Shaped Card Die Set. I also cut a second piece which I will cut in half for the shaker. From this panel I diecut the center with the frosting die in the set.

I die cut the background from Honey Bee Stamps Giddy For Gingham 6 x 8.5″ Paper Pad with a circle die. I used the same die to cut the acetate for my shaker window.

For the shaker bits I die cut them from DCWV The Glitzy Glitter 12 x 12″ Cardstock, Altenew – Glitter Gradient Cardstock Set – Ocean Reflection, and also added some Trinity Stamps Sugared Surprise Sprinkles Embellishment Mix.

I stamped the sentiment from the A-GLAZE-ing 4×8 Stamp Set onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizazz Ink (retired) and cut down into strips.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the swirl from the A-GLAZE-ing 4×8 Stamp Set with Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake Ink and a sentiment from the A-GLAZE-ing 4×8 Stamp Set onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizazz Ink (retired).

For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 7 x 6″ and scored at 3-1/2″ to create a mini slimline card base.

I die cut the glass from Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay (retired) and Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstocks with the Honeybee Stamps Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More. I also die cut 3 ice cream scoops from watercolor paper which I had colored using Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Inks. I die cut the straw from Coastal Cabana 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock and colored it with Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay (retired).

For the sprinkles I used all the same inks but ink blended them onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ before die cutting them.

I stamped the sentiment from Mini Messages: Birthday 4×5 Stamp Set Honeybee Stamps Mini Messages onto Neenah 100lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Inks and die cut with the Honey Cuts Mini Messages Banners.

I finished off the card by adding highlights with Uni-ball Signo White Broad Point Gel Pen.

I left the inside of the card blank and just added some of the die cut sprinkles.

Dimensions

  • Card Base = 7 x 6″ and scored at 3-1/2″ to create a mini slimline card base.
