Halloween Scene Card featuring Lawn Fawn’s Pumpkin House

Hi friends. Here’s another adorable scene card using the Pumpkin House Die from Lawn Fawn. It’s such a fun die set. There are so many occasions for which it can be used, Maybe a winter pumpkin?? Christmas??

For this card, I cut a piece of Simon Says Stamp 100lb Black 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create the card base. Then cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock measuring 4 x 5-1/4″. I used Distress Oxide Inks to create the background on this panel.

I masked off the moon by punching out a 1-1/4″ circle from post it paper. I used Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves, Villainous Potion, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks. Then removed the mask and added Scattered Straw Distress Oxide Ink around the moon which blended with the sky colors and created a cool spooky effect. This was totally unplanned but worked out in my favor. I also sprayed water on the panel to further distress it.

I die cut all the necessary images from the Lawn Fawn Pumpkin House Die from various cardstocks and colored them with ink to add dimension. I used Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie 8-1/2 x 11″ 80lb Cardstock for the pumpkin house, cut two so I can pop up the center portion, added a spiderweb pattern using Tim Holtz Cling Mount Stamps: Trick or Treat, Versamark Ink and White Embossing Powder. Then added StampinI used Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie Ink to color the pumpkin. I used Stampin’ Up! Old Olive 8-1/2 x 11″ 80lb Cardstock which I colored with Stampin’ Up! Old Olive 8-1/2 x 11″ 80lb Cardstock for the leaves; a pattern paper from the Honey Bee HALLOWEEN HARVEST 6 x 6 Paper Pad for the door which I colored with Catherine Pooler Designs Grape

Ink; Simon Says Stamp Cardstock 100# SLATE Gray Cardstock for the window frames, fence shadow, and chimney shadow. I used Catherine Pooler Designs Black Jack Ink to color the wndow frames then backed the windows and door with a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock which I colored with Catherine Pooler Designs Limoncello Ink. I die cut the wood slats, ghosts, bats and spider using Lawn Fawn Build-A-House Halloween Add-on. I used Stampin’ Up! Soft Suede 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock for the windows and colored them with Stampin’ Up! Soft Suede Ink; Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock for the ghosts; and Simon Says Stamp 100lb Black 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock for the bats and spider. The fence is from Lawn Fawn’s Spooky Fence Border and was cut from Simon Says Stamp 100lb Black 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from Queen and Company Halloween Hoopla! stampset (included in the kit) onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock with Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight Ink and fussycut it.

I finished the card by adding some white to the background with a White Signo Gel Pen and shimmer to the fence with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen.

Critter Scene Card featuring Lawn Fawn’s Jump for Joy

Hi friends. Here’s another cute scene card for Fall/Autumn. I pulled out some older Lawn Fawn and Honey Bee Stamps stamps and dies to make this one. I used the Honey Bee Stamps Birch A2 Cover Plate Base and Top Plate and Lawn Fawn Jump For Joy Stamps and Dies. I love the forest critters in this stampset. So cute!

I die cut the grass from Simon Says Stamp 100# Green Leaf Cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border and colored with Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the forest critters, leaves, acorns and rake from Lawn Fawn Jump For Joy Stamps and the pumpkins from Honey Bee Loads of Fall Stamp Set onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Ink and colored them with Copic Markers.

I used YR16, YR27 & YR09, YG25 & YG17 for the pumpkins; R17, R26, & R05, Y17 & Y18, YR09, YR13, YR16 & YR27 for the leaves; E0000, E34 & E37 for the acorns; E70, E74, E34 , E37 & R20 for the porcupine; , W0, W1, W3, W5 & W7, R20 for the owl; E13, E99, E09, E37, R20, W0 & W3 for the squirrel; N2, N4, N5, R05, R17 & R46 for the rake and die cut with the coordinating dies.

I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Jump For Joy Stamps onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock with Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink and Memento Tuxedo Ink. This stampset has a coordinating die set which cuts out the larger sentiments and leaves.

I finished the card by adding some highlights with a White Signo Gel Pen.

Halloween Cards Day #6

Happy almost Halloween everyone!! Halloween is just around the corner so here is one last card to wrap up this series. Hope you’ve enjoyed and got some inspiration. So I’m rounding off this series with some more Lawn Fawny goodness. I’m sure by now you’ve figured out that I love Lawn Fawn stamps.😀😀

This one features the Lawn Fawn’s Happy Haunting and Pick of the Patch stampsets. I began by cutting a piece of Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″and scored at 4 1/4″ to create a card base and a piece to 4 x 5-1/4″ for the top panel.

I stamped and heat embossed the house, tree, moon, bats from the Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting stampset with Versamark and Wow White Embossing Powder onto the black panel and colored the windows of the house with a yellow Prismacolor Pencil. I stamped several of the pumpkins from the Lawn Fawn Pick of the Patch and the small and medium ghosts from the Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting stampsets with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto some Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5″X11″. I colored the pumpkins with Copics in YR04, YR09, YG25, G94 and R81 (for cheeks) and the ghosts with C1, R20 and colorless I diecut them with their coordinating dies and then added some highlights with a Uni-ball Signo white Gel Pen.

I used some white acrylic paint to add some splatters to the black panel to give the sky some dimension. I diecut the Spooky Fence Border from Lawn Fawn from some black DCWV Glitzy Glitter Cardstock and the “grassy” area I used Stampin’ Up! Brights Designer Series Paper 12 x 12 (discontinued) and cut it down to 1-1/2 x 5-1/4”.

I adhered the green polka dot cardstock to the bottom portion of the card panel and then the spooky fence right above that. I adhered the ghost flat on to the card and some of the pumpkins are adhered flat and a couple I popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Pick of the Patch stampset with Catherine Pooler Orange Twist Ink onto a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5″X11″ and cut it down to 3/8 x 4-3/4. I adhered it to a piece of Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock and trimmed it down to 1 x 4-13/16”. I popped up the sentiment using some 3M Foam Tape. To complete the card front I added some sparkle to the pumpkins with a Spectrum Noir Shimmer Pen.

For the inside of the card (I can’t leave it blank, of course!), I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5″X11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″. I stamped the medium ghost from the Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting stampset in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Pick of the Patch stampset with Catherine Pooler Orange Twist Ink to match the sentiment on the front of the card. And that completed this card.

This was a super fun and as always cute card with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. All supplies are listed and linked below as well.

Halloween, Halloween

Halloween Cards Day #4

Happy Friday everyone! Halloween is just about 4 weeks away! Have you picked out your costumes yet?!? What will you be for Halloween???

This card cute Halloween card uses old and knew Halloween supplies from various companies. The adorable black cat and his hat come from an older Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Halloween Paper Collection. I punched him out using a coordinating punch.

To begin this card, I die cut a piece of Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock with Lawn Fawn’s Large Stitched Rectangles, which measures to 5-1/2 x 4-1/4″. Next, I die cut a circle 1-1/4″ from some Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper and added it to the black panel where my moon will be.

Starting from the bottom up, I used Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink, Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink, Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink, and Black Soot Distress Ink. I left the bottom 1/4 of the page blank since it will be hidden so I started with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink towards the bottom, blended in Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink above that color, and then Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink above Faded Jeans. Then I added some Black Soot Distress Ink towards the top and all the edges to distress it a bit. I let that dry a bit and then used Scattered Straw Distress Ink to ink blend the moon. I started in the center and faded out.

Once all the ink was dry, I prepped the whole thing with an anti-static bag and heat embossed the spider web from the Spider Web Background Stamp by Catherine Pooler Designs using Versamark clear embossing ink and Wow white embossing powder in the top left corner of the panel.

I die cut the fence from the Lawn Fawn Spooky Fence Border from Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock. And cut a piece of striped Halloween paper from Spooky Night Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!, measuring approximately 1-3/4″ x 6 and then die cut it with Lawn Fawn’s Large Stitched Rectangles. The final piece measures 1-3/4 x 5-1/2″. I adhered the Spooky Fence to the back of that striped piece and adhered both to the sky panel. I then added some Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges of the pattern piece. I added a piece of 1/4″ grosgrain orange ribbon under the fence and adhered the whole panel to a card base measuring 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″and scored at 4 1/4″ from Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock.

I stamped the HAPPY HALLOWEEN sentiment from the Everything but the Broom by Catherine Pooler Designs Stamp Set in Orange Twist Ink by Catherine Pooler Designs onto a scrap of cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5″X11″ and fussy cut it out. I stamped the little spider from the stampset as well with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and die cut it with the coordinating die.

I punched out one of the black cats from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! using the Stampin’ Up!’s Cat Punch and the witch hat from another sheet of the same DSP. I adhered the cat, sentiment and the spider to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished it off by adding some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Violet Galaxy and Ranger Stickles in Orange Peel and adding some sparkle with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5″X11″ to 4 x 5-1/4″ a piece of the striped paper to 3/4 x 4″ and adhered it to the bottom of the white piece. I added some Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges of the piece and adhered it to the inside of the card base. I stamped the spider and 31 from the Everything but the Broom by Catherine Pooler Designs Stamp Set and some of the smaller text from the Spooky Hollow by Catherine Pooler Designs Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Orange Twist Ink by Catherine Pooler Designs.
