Stenciled Background Using a Die Featuring Honey Bee Stamps Bee Cool

Hi friends. This cute little bee friend was included as a free gift with purchase during the Honey Bee Stamps Fall release. Look out for the new Christmas version of this which you can get with the purchase of $75+ (I believe) during the Holiday Cheer release. I paired him with an oldie but goodie die from Lawn Fawn.

I started by cutting a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base and a second panel to 4 x 5-1/4″. I used a hexagon stencil which I created by diecutting a piece of acetate with the Honey Bee Stamps Hexagon Top Cover Plate and Catherine Pooler It’s a Girl Ink and Stampin’ Up!’s Melon Mambo Ink to stencil the background and adhered it to the card base.

And I used the same cover plate die to die cut a hexagon background onto Simon Says Stamp Black 110lb Card Stock. Then I cut up the hexagon and adhered the pieces to the card panel.

I stamped the bee from the Honey Bee Stamps Bee Cool Stamp and Die Set (freebie with purchase) onto Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image with Copic Markers and used the included dies to cut it out. I used Y11, Y13, and Y18 for the bee and BG10 and 0 for the wings. I diecut the glasses and added shimmer with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen before adhering it to the bee.

I diecut the polaroid from Simon Says Stamp Black 110lb Card Stock with Lawn Fawn’s SAY CHEESE AGAIN Lawn Cuts. I adhered the bee to the polaroid and added Foam Tape to the back of both and added it to the card. I die cut the sentiment with the dies included from Stampin’ Up!’s Melon Mambo 8-1/2 x 11″ Cardstock and the shadow from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″. I adhered them together, stamped a sentiment from the Bee Cool Stampset and diecut it with the coordinating dies and all to the polaroid.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Honey Bee SENDING YOU SENTIMENTS Clear Stamp withMemento Tuxedo Black Ink and the bee with Catherine Pooler It’s a Girl Ink. And that completes this card.
